GIB found his forever
home thanks to an introduction from his foster mom to his new guardians,
who absolutely fell in love. They spent time getting to know him, along

RAZZ: A 9 month old Border
Collie/Aussie, Razz is a sweetheart, full of energy and ready to play. He
loves people and is very very happy to be a lap dog with belly rubs and
lots of licks in return. He is a wonderful, sweet dog. Razz will be placed
with another young dog since his energy needs are high. He is very
physical in racing, running and wrestling with other dogs. Razz is about
50 pounds and is good with cats but very active and curious so can
intimidate a cat not used to dogs.
He came to the Farm from a MA
shelter who felt he needed a home that understood his needs so would be
best placed by a rescue. |
Arlie & Razz, two
fun-loving, racing, chasing friends will now spend the rest of their lives
together with another wonderful furry friend, Webster, for a life of
seriously great exploring and fun on 13 acres. They were quite the trio in
the fields at the Farm which actually led to this adoption. Their new
guardians loved both of them, planning to only adopt one but once they saw
the great adventure of these three together, they decided it was a perfect
fit for all involved. Arlie, now called Charlie, and Razz live in Vermont.
(a rainy day, we didn't quite capture the fun of this meeting but it was
wonderful to see!)

great in sports. Arlie is about 40 pounds, and good with cats. She
came to the Farm from western PA where she had been rescued by a woman who
stepped in to pull her out of a bad situation where she had been crated 36
hours straight, left alone while the person traveled.

Border Collie for fun on her five acres of country land that she can
explore and enjoy forever. Aimee now lives in PA.

to play with socks and she also does a funny 'dance' when excited, holding
a toy in her mouth, waving it side to side as she bounces up and down and
spins around - classic Border Collie!! She is good with cats, just herding

Puppies
from Katrina survived the storm and a long ride to NY!
We received a call from a volunteer
coordinating rescue of numerous dogs in the south due to Katrina. Five
beautiful Border Collie pups had been abandoned. The person with the
dogs had the parents but nowhere to take the pups so left them with the
Animal Control Officer in Lousiana, a coastal area so badly hit that
there was literally nothing left of the town.
Through the kindness of Gerry &
Lisa O'Mara, Karen Leshin & Chris McLaughlin & Nancy Tringali,
these wonderful Border Collies
have all found new homes.- |

ADOPTED

being involved in the action. He is very easy going and loving and of

enjoys a good game of weaving between your legs as you get ready to throw!
He could happily enjoy that activity all day if possible! He also loves
riding in the car and will jump right in to go anywhere. He is, however,
very camera shy, so we are having trouble capturing his adorable face.
McCoy is good with other dogs, but is best with female dogs since he is a
strong male plus he lived with a female dog previously . He adjusts
quickly to new situations and is very interested in bonding. McCoy is
about 45 pounds, typical in size but looks a bit bigger due to his

he meets. He is having a blast at the Farm, free to run and actively
explore lots of acreage which he had not recently had in his home. A very
sweet, loving, attentive dog, he is a real joy to be around! He is

permanently with her, enjoying the Farm and tons of dogs that she will get
to help get ready for their new lives. Sweet Calley won all our hearts and

Natane caught our
attention because she looked so much like Brock, here in our rescue but we
have been so overwhelmed with dogs that we had to post her on our courtesy
listings. We have continued to keep track of her at the shelter to
make sure she was safe. And, finally a happy ending is about to
happen....someone posted her information to a frisbee internet list and an
adopter in Texas is bringing her into his home! We are helping to
transport her to the airport for her journey to her new life and are
thrilled to see this wonderful get a chance at a very exciting life as a
frisbee dog!!!
A special thanks to Liz Bush who has
tracked her at the shelter and Laura Sollers and Liz who are making time
on Sunday to move her from Watertown NY to Newark NJ airport.
Holiday angels are real!!
Congratulations to Guy Mayberry in Fort
Worth who persevered to get her home!!

ZOEY found her forever
home with adopters who have another dog from the Farm and felt drawn to
bring Zoey into their home. Lots of patience, love and step by step
training will surely help her trust that living her new life will be
grand!! Zoey now lives in Vermont.
ZOEY:
An 1 1/2 year old petite Border Collie, Zoey is a very alert girl focused on
everything around her. She loves other dogs and is interested in
everything they do. She makes up toy games, throwing toys up in the air
and catching them by herself, a very happy girl. She is, however,
undersocialized so is afraid of people at the moment. She trembles and
shakes when being touched yet comes to life when other dogs are around,
eager to initiate play. She will be at the Farm as we help her gain
confidence and we expect over time that she will transform into a dog
ready for a new life and loving guardians. We have had over a dozen Border
Collies with similar needs come into rescue and they are all now in loving
homes. Her recovery may take many many months and she will only be placed
in a home with another dog and a hard fence. Zoey was purposely
bought by another rescuer from a 'backyard breeder' who had left her
living in a filthy dark shed with no human contact. The situation was
reported to the SPCA in NJ.
