SIENNA: A very petite 10 mo old Border Collie mix, Sienna is a lap dog. She jumps right there and stays put for attention. But, soon as the action starts, she runs like the wind, angling and turning as fast as any BC around. She is a sweet sweet girl with people and comfortable with dogs, enjoying the fun. Sienna and her pal, Tye, were strays picked in PA, clearly knowing each other so love to make up chase games together. She is 15 pounds and good with cats. It's easy to see how tiny she is running past average 45 pound BC's. 

MIAH: A 1 1/2 year old Border Collie, Miah is all about action - she loves to play and she loves to run! She is smart, fast, focused and super responsive to whatever you ask of her. A sweet girl, too, she loves a cuddle but then loves another toss of the ball. Miah is very friendly with everyone and easily fits in wherever she is, adjusting quickly to her surroundings and new people. She is good with other BC's and other breeds though just as happy to be with her person as with another dog. Miah is a talker, where she'll give a bark to tell you what she wants which is of course, another ball toss! She is about 35 pounds and good with cats. She was surrendered to the Farm because her NY guardians could not meet her needs and she was being left 12 hours a day and not doing well. 

ZOIE: A 2 year old Border Collie, possibly mix, Zoie is a doll. She loves people and loves to be near her person. She also loves to run, and race with other dogs though could be happy in an active home without another dog. She is very smart, thoughtful and eager to please. Zoie is easy going and not overly intense, content to play and also settle easily once inside. She's a very affectionate girl who loves to cuddle, too. She's not a big toy girl, but would rather hang in your lap for attention. Watching her race and chase with her new friends at the Farm, she fits in easily with other dogs and is happy to join in the action. Zoie is about 35 pounds and not yet tested on cats. She came to the Farm from her former home where the older jack russell terrier was picking on her. Her PA guardians were heartbroken to have to rehome her. 

LANCE: An 11 year old Border Collie Mix, Lance is a gentle sweet guy who loves everyone he meets. He also loves his ball and will ask for a toss as much as you'll toss it! He is really, really adorable, a little guy who likes dogs and enjoys being with his people. Lance was a stray in PA, passed to GHF from another rescuer. His bloodwork, thyroid and urinalysis were all good so Lance is ready for his next step to a great life. His beautiful long hair was so badly matted, he was shaved so looks a little odd at the moment. Lance also has one eye that is likely a congenital birth defect since he can't see in that eye at all. He's a bit deaf, too but clearly able to track his ball and his person, happy to join in the game! Lance is about 40 pounds and good with cats. 

ALLY: A petite 10 month old Border Collie, Ally is all action! She is super fast and loves to play with toys.  She is so agile and fast, eager to race after whatever is thrown her way.  She can fly across the field as fast as any BC ever in rescue. She is focused though young so looking for guidance and loves to learn. She is also the sweetest girl, cuddling up to anyone and everyone, super friendly. Ally is good with other BC's and could have a friend for her energy level or an active guardian who loves engaging with her in lots of activities. Ally is OK with dog savvy with cats. She also loves the water and is great off leash hiking.  Ally is about 35 pounds, a petite girl for sure.

OLLY: A 1 1/2 year old Border Collie, Olly is a sweet, gentle boy who loves to play! He plays with other dogs and toys, happy to enjoy the fun of any activity. Olly is very responsive to people and bonds quickly, happy to be with his person. He is smart and energetic though not overly intense as many young BC's. He is a really happy dog, a delight to be with and an affectionate boy, too. He is about 40 pounds and good with cats. Olly was surrendered to the farm due to financial issues forcing a move. He lived in one home since a pup, from NY.

BRODY: A petite 2 year old Border Collie with ABCA papers, Brody is a ball nut! He is super fast, eager to retrieve and loves to do that endlessly, a very serious ball dog indeed! When the ball is away, Brody is a love-bug, quite the cuddler and a very friendly BC. He loves to say hello to anyone and everyone that comes his way. He's good with other BC's but could be just as happy as a solo dog if the person is active enough. He is very intelligent, observant and eager to please. Brody is about 35 pounds and good with cats. He was surrendered to the Farm due to a divorce and move to life that would not suit him well. He is from NY. 

DELANEY: A petite 1 year old Border Collie, Delaney is enjoying the farm and showing her true playful nature. She is a big ball nut, loving to retrieve but she also loves to make up chase games with other BC's. She is fast and can turn on a dime, a real athlete. Delaney can be a little shy at first but quickly warms up once she feels comfortable. She is very loving and wants to be with her person. She is smart, observant and easy going though needs an outlet for her BC energy. She was picked up as a stray and landed in a NY shelter though lived in one home since a pup. The guardian could not keep her and she was left to roam. Delaney is about 30 pounds and good with cats.

HARTLEY: A 1 1/2 year old Border Collie, Hartley is a maniac for the ball - he loves a throw anytime and anywhere! He is as sweet as any BC we've met and friendly to every person and a player with other dogs but that ball is his game! Hartley is very smart, focused and very responsive to whatever is asked of him. His intelligence and drive requires he has an active life with a real job in sports or with an active guardian. He is an incredibly great dog with lots of energy. Having another BC friend for herding games would be great for him, too. Hartley is trained on the invisible fence, weighs about 40 pounds and is good with cats. He was surrendered to the Farm from a NJ guardian who no longer could meet his needs. 

LILY is right in the middle enjoying all the fun, a little shy but sweet as can be. She is good with cats.

ANNEY: A petite 9 year old Border Collie, Anney is a loving, gentle girl who takes a little while to show her playful side. But, once she does, she's adorable. And, she loves herding other BC's and that's when you see the happy, go lucky, focused and fun Anney. She will need a patient home that allows her some time to show this lively side. Anney has a super sweet nature and is very smart and attentive to her person. She has hearing loss though you'd barely know it cause she stays so close by your side, unless she's herding! Anney is doing great at the Farm and really wonderful. She just takes time and cannot be rushed in new situations or she gets overwhelmed. She is about 40 pounds and good with cats. She and Jake were a pair of BC's bought for breeding years ago and then replaced by younger dogs. The NY breeder gave both of them to GHF. We feel a hard fence would be better than an invisible fence since Anney is a soft dog who could become worried by the system.

We all loved this joyous boy who said hello every day with the greatest enthusiasm, asking only for one more ball toss or a bite to eat. Clark loved food and balls equally! We will really miss his presence as the office dog who said hello to anyone and everyone. Clark never knew a stranger. We are blessed to have met him, even if only for 3 1/2 short months.  We already miss you Clark...your sweet fun nature will never be forgotten. 

CLARK found his way to GHF just in time for some special TLC, well needed at his age and now, critical. He is an amazing boy with tons of charm and so vibrant, it's hard to believe he is very sick, but he is. We are working rapidly with Cornell internal medicine to see how much time we can gain for Clark so he can enjoy all the love we want to give him! When a special Border Collie like Clark arrives, it's always a bittersweet experience to realize we won't get to know him for long but we are always grateful to be graced with someone so special. 

Clark has an adrenal mass, high blood pressure, kidney disease/ infection and a heart valve problem and has a prognosis of weeks to months to live.

KAEL: A 1 year old Border Collie, Kael is a doll. He's a petite guy with lots of energy that he wants to direct somewhere though he's not quite sure where that should be. He loves to play non-stop with dogs and is happy to say hello with some reassurance. He loves food so could easily be trained to learn all kinds of things, including sports. Kael is super sweet and in the right home, would blossom so quickly into a great BC. He has a great temperament and the curiosity to see the world. Kael is about 30 pounds and good with cats. Kael came from the Texas confiscation.

BUD: A 1 1/2 year old Border Collie, Bud is a sweet guy, loves to say hello and lean against your leg for some attention or give you a kiss - a loving boy. He is smart and focused but not overly intense, a good natured companion. He can easily enjoy lots of ball play including soccer or is also happy to be by your side. Bud can be a little timid in new situations so needs some reassurance at first with someone he knows. He quickly brightens right up when he's comfortable. He is a tall Border Collie, about 40 pounds and not yet tested on cats. His previous PA guardian was an older person who was not well and her hospital stay led her to surrender him to the Farm.

Little LIV found the right home to call her own with guardians who absolutely loved her sweet nature! Liv made friends with their cat named Gus who travels wherever they go! And, NOW, Liv will join them on the road for all their travels too!! Liv hopped right into their van and looked right at home, joining guardians who will cherish her. She'll be traveling all over the U.S. as they enjoy adventures together with their beloved animal friends. During the winter, Liv will be home in upstate NY but otherwise, she's a traveling Border Collie seeing all the fun life has to offer. We got a chance to meet Gus, the first ever cat to come for an adoption and boy was he picking his favorite dog, too!!

CHARLIE: A 4 year old Border Collie, Charlie is super friendly, good natured and ready to join anyone he meets, with a big hello and belly rub. He is a great guy who adjusts well to new situations and wants to join in whatever is going on. He is smart and playful but not overly intense and happy to be a companion to his person. Charlie is good with other dogs, easily fitting in with new dogs, curious to know more about them. He is a sweet guy with a great disposition. He is about 40 pounds and is good with cats. He was surrendered to the Farm from his PA guardian who no longer had time for him. 

NATE: A 5 month old Border Collie with ABCA papers, Nate is a cute guy with lots of spunk, ready to play and run and race. He is very very sweet and curious about everything. Like any young BC pup, he has boundless energy and would do best with a canine buddy so that will be required. While Nate is very people oriented, too, we will only place him with another buddy because of his history. Nate was left alone 20 hours a day in a barn, yet  is completely housetrained. He is quickly blossoming having dog friends and plenty of people time so he is coming back into balance. He is smart and energetic but not overly intense in his focus so would likely be a good companion, more easy going. He has a gorgeous curly coat that completes his charm! He came to the Farm from a PA guardian who knew he had no time for him. He is about 30 pounds and good with cats. 

BRIG: A petite 2 year old Border Collie mix, Brig is a very affectionate, friendly boy who likes people especially his own person and will cuddle endlessly. He bonds well and loves to be wherever you are in the house. He also loves toys, especially squeaky ones and will entertain himself or play happily with anyone tossing one his way. Brig also has a cute trick where he can balance standing up on his hind legs and bat at the air when excited! He learns very quickly and likes challenges- a very smart dog! Brig is good with easy going dogs but doesn't like a dog pressuring him so could either have one dog friend who will play with him or be a solo dog. He is about 30 pounds and is fine with dog savvy cats. He was adopted from the Farm a year ago and is being returned because it's too hard for him to mix with numerous dogs on hikes and at the adopter's boarding facility. Too many dogs at once overwhelm him but he enjoys having a dog friend at home. 

LONI: A 4 year old Border Collie, Loni is a doll. She is friendly, outgoing and good natured. She loves to say hello to everyone! A comical girl with tons of personality, she loves her toys, too. She'll enjoy chasing her ball and squeaky toy, racing around having a blast but will also cuddle when she comes in. Loni is quite the charmer, sitting by your side, asking for attention, sharing her love. She is smart and fun but not overly intense, more people oriented instead. She is about 35 pounds and needs dog savvy cats who can handle her staring at them, ready to herd. She came to the Farm with two other female BC's who were found as strays in upstate NY.

TIGGS: A 4 1/2 year old Border Collie, Tiggs is a super sweet guy who loves being with his person. He's very good natured and eager to bond, great with men and women. Tiggs also enjoys other dogs and happily becomes their friend, content to explore outside with a pal. We will place Tiggs with another dog since he has an eyesight impairment and the other canine companion can help him understand everything around him, more quickly. He can see well enough to track along side a buddy and also follow his person but he will need a patient person to give him time to get the lay of the land. Tiggs is good with cats and about 50 pounds. He was surrendered to the Farm due to a move from the west coast to a smaller home. 

SAMMI & CHLOE: A brother and sister pair, 8 years old, these two are fun and sweet! They love everyone and are so happy to be with people. Of course, they are both REALLY happy when the ball comes out for a good game! This good natured duo is very special and would easily join in a new life with people that love them. They are affectionate, very smart and eager to please, with classic BC intelligence. They prefer each other's company than that of other dogs and get along so well, we want them to be adopted together. Sammi & Chloe have lived together since 7 weeks old, in one home. Both were relinquished to GHF due to issues with newer dogs, Rotties, that were added a few years ago. The dogs did not all mix easily so the guardians felt it best to rehome the Border Collies. Both are a bit overweight due to inactivity but will knock that off easily at the Farm. They have been trained on the electric fence.

LOKI: A 4 year old Border Collie, Loki is all about being with his person - he wants to go wherever you go and has great recall so is a wonderful hiking partner, always nearby. He is also a big soccer nut, happy to endlessly retrieve even going up high for a ball. A big time athlete, he is full of energy but also settles beautifully inside, laying right near your feet. Loki is super smart and eager to please. He loves the water and going for car rides, too. He is also good with cats. He is about 40 pounds. Loki came to the Farm from NY guardians who lost their home and felt he needed space to run. 

HUNTER: A 4 year old Border Collie, Hunter is one of the nicest and sweetest dogs in rescue.  He is fabulous with every person and eager to offer affection and loves attention. He is super smart and understands whatever you ask him to do, with great responsiveness.  He is really good natured and a delight to live with and be around.  Hunter loves the water, quite the swimmer! He is also great with other BC's and enjoys having a friend for play, especially great with female BC's who always love him.  He travels fine in the car himself, not herding traffic as it passes.Hunter came to the Farm from a PA shelter.  We are looking for just the right place where Hunter can share his incredible good nature.

DJ: A 9 year old Border Collie, DJ is one amazing boy. He is super smart, eager to please and loves to learn and carry out what is asked of him! He was trained as a service dog to a woman with severe arthritis so DJ knows how to really be helpful around the house! If something drops on the floor, like keys or the newspaper or an envelope, he picks whatever it is, up to give it to you. He is totally trained with commands and knows exactly what to do. As you would guess, he is incredibly friendly to everyone he meets and a very happy go-lucky boy and very proud of all he can do. DJ brings his own bowl to you to be fed as well as taking it back to be washed. DJ also loves to play with his toys and of course, those are brought right over too, hoping for a great game of toss or frisbee. DJ had a few years of competitive agility where he was quite the star and loved to learn. Clearly, this is one very special Border Collie and we are looking for a home that makes use of all his talents! He has great recall off leash, loves to ride in the car and is good with cats. DJ is about 50 pounds. He was surrendered to the Farm after the death of his guardian, from the husband. He lived in one home since he was sent to be a service dog at 6 months old. He came from a PA breeder. DJ's likes other dogs just fine, especially Border Collies but is mostly focused on a personal relationship with a human.

LANEY: A petite 9 year old Border Collie, Laney is incredibly sweet, winning everyone's hearts instantly. She comes right up for a little head scratch and is happy to hang by your side wherever you go. She's very friendly to everyone. Laney is an easy going girl who likes to join in whatever is going on, whether that's a walk around the property or a ride in the car, she loves to be there. She is smart, gentle and bonds quickly. Laney is good with dog savvy cats and weighs 30 pounds. She came from a rough situation in NJ where she was not cared for properly but you'd never know that because she thinks people are wonderful. 

CASEY is such a love that his picture led his new guardians to ask to meet him and when they did, they were thrilled at what a sweetheart this boy is! He is the picture of health and love and eagerness to belong with his person and they just adored all of that! Casey has a BC buddy, plenty of land for fun and most importantly, two people who just love the breed and felt Casey deserved a wonderful life in a loving home again. We are really happy for this special boy. He now lives in NY.

CASEY: A 12 year old Border Collie Casey is friendly guy who truly enjoys being with his person. Don’t let his age put you off, he is an incredible dog with time to live and love a new companion!  Casey loves exploring outside and enjoys quiet leash walks and running after ball or Frisbee.  He is fine with kids and other dogs but he lived most of his life in a quiet home so would probably prefer that lifestyle. His sleeping preference is in bed cuddled with his person.  He is about 40 pounds and good with cats. Casey was a much loved companion who lived in one home since he was a pup. A job loss forced a move for Casey. He came from PA. 

BERK: A 6 month old Border Collie/possibly Cattle dog mix, Berk is a smart, outgoing boy who likes toys and people equally. He is eager to jump into action and curious about everything around him. He adjusts well to changes and has a great nature. He's also a toy boy, happy to catch and chase whatever is thrown his way. Berk absolutely loves other dogs, jumping into play games instantly so would be happy with a canine friend. He is a great, little guy who thinks life is about fun and learning. He is about 30 pounds and is GREAT with cats, absolutely loves them and wants to play. Berk came from upstate NY. 

KEEN: A 2 year old Border Collie, Keen is very very smart and bonds quickly to his person. He loves to be involved in activities to play - a huge ball dog. He is good with other dogs and will play though mostly focused on a person. Keen has been introduced to agility equipment and done well but would probably be happiest where he could play and explore outdoors. Keen is most comfortable with adults rather than children who tend to make him nervous. He loves car rides and learning new things. He is about 40 pounds and best with dog savvy cats since he'll chase. He lived in one home since a pup and was adopted a year ago from GHF but unfortunately returned now due to the guardian's illness. 

MAGEE: A 2 year old Border Collie, Magee is all action! He loves toys of any kind and will happily play and play and play. He is fast, focused and very eager to learn new things.  Magee is very smart and would be a great companion or sport dog for an active person. He is also a cuddly lover who happily gives kisses and sits next to you, a real lap dog. Magee is most comfortable with women since his former female guardian was the primary caretaker. He lived in one home since a pup but her illness led to him coming to rescue. He is from a breeder in NY. He is about 45 pounds and good with cats.

TAYLOR: A 6 year old Border Collie, Taylor is a very very nice guy who aims to please! He comes the minute he's called, he stays near you for attention and he's happy to retrieve balls endlessly- a really sweet guy. He is friendly, good natured and a classic balanced Border Collie. He's just come into rescue so we'll update his pictures and bio shortly. He landed in a PA shelter as a stray and was stuck there almost two months til we could get him to rescue so we're happy to let him enjoy some unwinding! He is about 40 pounds and not good with cats. 

JAZ found a wonderful home with good Friends of the Farm who love to adopt from GHF. They felt Jaz was the perfect girl to join their duo of boys and just loved her sweet nature. They have a great sense of humor about Jaz's nimble paws which allow her to open refrigerators, kitchen cabinets and almost any other door where food may be hiding but they'll outsmart her with baby-proofing! Jaz will have a great life, totally adored and we'll get to see her, too when they come upstate to their country property. She now lives in NJ.

JAZ: A 7 year old Border Collie mix, Jaz is a very smart,  observant girl who makes sense of what is going on around her,  quickly.  She bonds fast and then is a companion through and through, eager to be with her person. She's super affectionate and really connects, especially with one person as her best friend. She  is a cuddler and friendly, loving to be right next to you. She really enjoys walks and also loves to run like the wind, coming back when called.  Jaz is also quite the swimmer, happy

CRICKET: A very petite 3-4 month old Border Collie mix, Cricket is wonderful! She is smart, curious, bold and easy going all in one. She is a fast little thing who keeps up with the gang of adult BC's very well, showing off her BC nature, cutting, angling and turning quickly to race and chase. Being a little girl, she likes to jump on the couch to keep track of everything, using the strategy of being up high. But, she also likes leaping onto anything as she races around, fast as she can, cause it's a quicker route! Cricket is really smart and fun and she loves people, a complete cuddler. She is about 14 pounds and likely to be a little dog, based on her size now. She was a stray in upstate NY. 

FITCH: A petite 5 month old Border Collie, Fitch is all action! He is a strong herder, joining in the adult pack's herding games quickly and keeping pace. He is a focused pup who will need an active home and another young BC ideally. Fitch is smart and loves to cuddle but loves to chase the ball just as much. An observant, thinking pup, he'll do best in a BC savvy home. Fitch is good with cats and weighs about 20 pounds. He was passed to another rescuer in upstate NY who was not familiar with the breed and could not manage his needs. 

TYE: An 11 month old Border Collie/spaniel mix, Tye is a sweet guy, gentle with people and quite the player with dogs. He is a toy boy, grabbing anyone's toy and heading off for a chase game. He loves to play and race and he also loves the water. Tye is smart and energetic but more easy going as most BC mixes but would be happiest with a canine friend.   He can be a little shy with people reaching for him but absolutely loves attention and cuddling and is happy to hang next to you for belly rubs.  He and another pup, Sienna, were found as strays in PA.  He is good with cats and about 30 pounds, typical in size for his age.

BELA: A very petite 1 year old Border Collie, Bela is a tiny little thing who likes the action around her and is eager to join in. She is very alert and observant watching all that is going on in her new situation with all the BC's. She is a sweet girl who likes attention and bonds quickly. She is super smart, already knows the 'look at me' command and comes right to the whistle. Bela is a toy girl too and is super fast when she runs with the dogs. She is getting along fine with the other dogs though a bit overwhelmed by bigger dogs. She is only around 15 pounds, We were told she was the runt of a large litter (10-11) of BC's pups in the PA area bred by the Amish. They had planned to destroy her due to her super small size but her previous guardians took her instead. They could no longer meet her needs. She is good with cats.

GRAHAM: a wonderful sweet 3 year old Border Collie that loves every dog he meets.  He is all action when he is outside herding and playing chase games.  He checks in with his human too when he's outside, coming over for scratches and petting.   He is learning recall and is picking that up rather quickly and soon will be working on some off leash walks.   He's been gaining confidence in his foster home and has learned that humans are great.  He will curl up on the couch next to his person and put his head right on your lap for cuddles and scratches.   He will paw for attention too! Graham loves to wrestle and play with other young dogs and is very gentle in his play style.  He walks well on leash and is very interested in meeting new people, especially looking for treats in their hands.    He loves to throw toys around and will catch a tennis ball if thrown to him.  He is about 40 pounds and good with cats. Graham came from the Texas confiscation.  Graham can be seen in NH or at the Farm.

MURPHY: A 10 year old Border Collie with ABCA papers, Murphy is delightful. He is smart, focused and eager to play ball non-stop, even in the car riding, he'll toss you the ball! He has a big bag of toys and dug through to the bottom, finding each and every one, hoping for a throw. Murphy is one of those classic older BC's who has his act together and understands what you want and how to be happy. He's friendly to everyone, eager to please and wants to join in whatever is going on around him. He loves toy play and people, equally. Murphy is good with other dogs and cats. He is about 60 pounds, carrying a bit of extra weight due to the inactivity lately. He has lived in one home since a pup but his guardian can no longer care for him. Murphy has lived in an unfenced situation all his life and will stay in his yard when you have his ball! Murphy can be seen in NH or at the Farm

BEAMER: A 5 month old Border Collie, Beamer is all action - he just loves to play, run, chase and wrestle with other BC's - he is classic! He is very smart, very people oriented and friendly as can be, one happy boy. He's also very athletic so could easily do well in sports and of course be a good hiking buddy since he's a pup and eager to be by your side. Beamer is an energetic young BC so would do best with another young BC to help meet his energy needs. He is eager to please and has a great sweet, affectionate nature. Beamer is about 30 pounds and is good with  cats. His previous NY guardian was moving and could not keep him. 

BAILEY found a new life with guardians who are devoted to their dogs and love finding new things for them to do. He'll have his own pond to enjoy with plenty of acres to call his own and even get to try agility. His new canine friend, Sugar, became a play buddy quickly and then once the ball came out, let Bailey steal the show with all his brilliance. His newFurMom and FurGrandDad loved it! He now lives in upstate NY.

BAILEY: A 1 year old Border Collie, Bailey is sweet and smart and he LOVES the ball! He'd be happy to play all day if he could and he's  incredible at catching whatever is tossed his way.  Bailey also adores his person and meeting new people. He's very friendly and very affectionate, eager to say hello. He is a good natured boy with lots of energy so needs an active home who understands him. He is about 50 pounds, carrying some extra weight from his previous home where he had been living with a disabled guardian who could not meet his needs properly. He is good with dog savvy cats. He came to the Farm from a shelter in NJ.
