DOMINO
landed exactly with guardians he needed who knew instantly he was their
dog! As his new FurMom said, the tears in her eyes were instant and she
just knew he had to come home with him - he was the one! He'll have a
great yard and even bigger property for hiking trails and enjoying a great
life where he is the center of attention. Domino showed his sweet nature
as well as focused ball mania, both traits they loved! Real Border Collie
lovers, he won their heart, stepping in to fill the hole of two beloved
BC's who have now passed. He now lives in PA.
DOMINO:
A 6 year old Border Collie, Domino is a blast - he is fun and focused
and loves playing ball anytime, anywhere. He's a great, smart, very
together BC who aims to please and in exchange for some fun time, he'll
give you his heart. He's very adaptable and handles new things well,
friendly with everyone. He is a classic, good- natured BC who bonds with a
person quickly and enjoys an active lifestyle and also has a great recall
to return when on hikes. Domino is fine with other dogs and has lived with
10 non - BC's but really enjoys one-on-one attention or being with someone
who 'gets' who he is which is brilliant. He's got it all. Domino also
loves to swim. He is about 50 pounds and won't hurt cats but will herd and
chase so best with dog savvy cats. Domino lived in one home since a pup,
bought from a well known VA breeder. His West VA guardians felt they
could not meet the needs of a BC and surrendered him to the Farm.

YATES
found the perfect combination of human and canine friendship to continue
to build his trust in life being great! He happily wagged his tail
to say hello to his new guardians. They understood the nature of a shy dog
since their girl was once that way and were able to put Yates right at
ease! This little guy went right into their car as if he knew he had
landed right where he was destined to be. We're all thrilled for
this Texas boy to have a wonderful life ahead, where he is cherished and
all his needs are met properly. He now lives in VT.
YATES:
A petite 2 year
old Border Collie, Yates is the happiest BC around, enjoying hikes in the
woods with his canine buddies and learning that life is great. He's
blossomed into a sweet, playful, easy guy. He's got a curious nature
about everything that is going on around him and with help from his
person, he's gained confidence to trust trying new things. He still
needs help from someone skilled to guide him but he's very willing to be
brave in new situations, meeting people and going places . Yates goes up
to new people expecting great things to come his way! A good
natured, sweet guy, his tail now never stops wagging! He is good with cats
and about 35 pounds. He would be happiest with another young BC for play,
wrestling and running games as well as a quieter adult home without a lot
of chaos. He came from the
Texas confiscation in April, having lived with 167 BC's so we're excited
to see such great progress so quickly.

MILES,
3 yrs old, found himself in a shelter in MD, abandoned after only 4 months
in his new home. He came to the shelter as a stray. Happy New Year to
Miles because just as we pulled him from the shelter and tucked him in a
temporary foster home in Md, someone wanted to meet him! So, we oversaw
the match and off he went, right to a perfect new life in MD. He has
another young BC for lots of play and is the constant companion to his new
FurMom. A good sign for Miles that life is on track! |

Sweet,
wonderful KYLE found exactly the guardians and life that suits
him...not only do they understand the jolly ball keep-away game, they will
take him running for miles, using those long legs for exercise. Plus,
he'll have a large property to explore and enjoy as well as many hands to
love on him which he absolutely craves. Kyle won their hearts quickly with
his comical nature, sweet disposition and focus for toys, which they
enjoy! He now lives in NY, joining a GHF alum, Ziggy, who was adopted many
years ago!
KYLE: A 3 year old Border Collie, Kyle
is a super friendly boy who loves people. He also loves playing with toys
of any kind, eager to play as much as you like. He is good natured and
loves attention, a cuddly BC. Kyle is good with other dogs, eager to say
hello but then gives them their space and settles nicely with a canine
companion. He is focused but not overly intense. Kyle is a tall 45 pound
boy and is good with cats. He was picked up running at large in
PA and the guardian signed him over. Kyle had a severe flea
infestation so lost a lot of hair but all that will grow back and he'll
clearly be a gorgeous rough coat BC.

Sweet,
gentle BEAU found a wonderful home with another BC friend who likes
the ball just as much as he does! The two of them raced and retrieved,
easily working out a rhythm to enjoy each other and their favorite game.
His new guardians just loved his sweet nature as they got to know him in
an overnight at the Farm and felt he'd fit their lives perfectly. Beau
deserves this great life, now a healthy, happy guy rather than left to
sadly to fend for himself. He now lives in NJ
BEAU:
A 3 year old Border Collie, Beau's making the best of his party hat,
chasing the ball perfectly! He's got a great spirit and loves to play. He
had surgery on his tail and we'll soon have new pictures. He is a charming
boy who loves people and attention. He's curious and good natured, not
overly intense, more companion oriented. Beau came to rescue in
pretty bad shape, as a stray from a NY shelter. He was severely
underweight and a few things that TLC, good nutrition and proper vetting
fixed. He's about 35 pounds and not yet tested on cats.

Sweet
PARKER found a life that suits him fine - he'll be the constant
companion to his new guardians, have a canine friend and enjoy plenty of
ball time! He has lots of acres to call his own for long walks and
exploration. This sweet boy will love all the attention and fun he's about
to get, forever! He now lives in NY.
PARKER:
A 4 year old Border Collie mix, Parker is a happy guy who loves everyone.
A super affectionate boy, he has a great nature, completely friendly as if
there would never be a stranger he could not befriend - he's
wonderful. He is ready to be your friend, instantly and so eager to
please. Parker is easy going and good natured though he sure loves
the ball so needs a guardian who loves to exercise their dog with balls
cause this boy is a great retriever. He'll play ball endlessly as long as
it's thrown! He is smart, focused and bonds quickly, clearly happy
to be with his person. Parker fits with other dogs beautifully though
could be happy as a solo dog if his person is active and into fun. He is
good off leash and would enjoy hiking. Parker has lived
in one home since a pup but is being given up to the Farm due to a move to
an apartment. He had been chained outside to a dog house but is
happy to be back in a home, at the Farm. He will want to play with cats,
not herd them but play, so probably best with cats who like dogs. Parker
is about 38 pounds, a smaller bc mix.

SEA,
a 9 year old Border Collie from the Ohio group that recently came in,
found her home instantly. One of our team who helped transport the dogs
fell in love and Sea went right home to CT. She's having a blast playing
ball, sleeping soundly in her great dog beds and is the constant companion
to her new guardian! |
 |

|
KATE,
named after our Sweet Katie, is a sweet, curious, lively girl and she's
found a home with one of our team. She's filling big paws since the lost
of their GHF girl, Mia, but we're sure Kate will handle the task
beautifully. A tiny girl with big presence! She now lives in PA where
agility and fun will be part of her life. |
 |

|
Little
LOUIE is quite the character, full of spunk and curiosity but
mostly, he's the supreme cuddler. He just wants to be in your lap or up at
your neck for puppy kisses. He's named after our wonderful LUKE, nickname
Louie, so we know that this little guy will fill some big shoes in his new
life! Luke is the reason GHF even exists. Louie is heading home with
adopters who were hoping for a pup to join their lives. He'll have a
loving family, 15 acres and a female BC to enjoy, living in PA.
|

|
Little
HAYLE was the last of the trio to find her place and that she did,
step by step, figuring it all out. A fascinating little pup, she found the
people who had been waiting for her and the perfect match was made. She'll
be loved and cherished joining their home with her total joyful way. And,
Hayle will get a chance to do therapy work, as well assist in dog
training, in her FurMom's classes. We find this to be quite amazing since
the Haley she was named after, was one of the greatest teachers to show
people how dogs communicate. So, this 7 pound girl is on her way to
joining the legacy of helping people really understand canines. We're
excited to see her at Camp Border Collie for kids this summer and bet
she'll be an amazing girl. She now lives in New Hampshire
HAYLE is a very focused girl looking
for her mission. She's surely got a purpose and work to do! Probably no
surprise since she is named after our Haley, who led our pack of 18 as the
most benevolent leader, clearly telling the dogs all the rules. She taught
us and every camper who visited GHF, all about canine language. So, little
Miss Hayle is at the Farm, waiting for just the right home to show itself
and meanwhile, she's learning about adult BC's and life with a big pack.
This smart girl of 7 pounds is already showing her big presence, calmly
watching everything around her, as it unfolds. She will only be placed in
a BC savvy home with another BC.

Sweet,
shy SASHA found a wonderful home with patient guardians who adopted
from the Farm many years ago. GHF Alum, Carr, will be the perfect mentor
to this little girl who can follow his friendly lead, learning to blossom
and trusting people fully. She also has a big 'sister', 16 year old!
Torrey, another sweet Border Collie ( a little camera shy) to help her.
It's the perfect combination for this young pup to find her way. Sasha now
lives in Vermont and will be the constant companion to her new FurMom and
Dad who just adored her.
SASHA: A petite 6 month old Border
Collie/Aussie, Sasha is a lover and such a gentle, sweet soul. She quietly
comes over to your side, politely asking to be petted and carefully nudges
for more. She is a timid girl but so wants to have a person that is her
own. Sasha is absolutely adorable. She really likes other dogs and will
need a friend to help bolster her confident, then she plays a lot! Sasha
will do best in a calm home where her guardians can help build her
confidence. This kind girl gives you her whole heart in return for your
attention and love and quietly asks for more. She is focused and curious
but not overly hyper or intense like most BC's. She is about 35 pounds and
good with cats. Sasha came to the Farm with her sister, Phoebe, from
an accidental litter. Her PA guardian wanted her to have the best chance
at a great life!

KIERA
found people who understand her timid nature and love to help her continue
to blossom. They drove 11 hours from Maine to meet just HER and soon as
they did, it was clear why they came. She captured the heart of her new
FurMom who wanted a friend to be with her at work and at home, constantly
going with her and Kiera quickly showed that's what she wanted, too. Kiera
will have canine buddies (one not pictured) and a large property to call
her own for plenty of exploring and hikes. She spent the night with her
new guardians and upon morning, they knew she had to head home with them.
KIERA: A petite 3 year old Border
Collie, Kiera is a sweet, sensitive, gentle girl who loves attention. She
is happy to be right by your side for affection and gazes right into your
eyes to bond quickly. She is easy going, smart and likes to be with her
person. Kiera also enjoys a great run to explore the outdoors, and since
she's a fast runner, she's gorgeous to watch as she dashes across the
field. She is very food oriented and easy to train. Kiera is not a hyper
young BC, rather more of a companion, interested in going wherever you go.
She is nervous around children and wants to hide so will be placed in an
adult home. She is about 35 pounds and good with cats. She is
from the NY area where she was left to live on her own, abandoned by a
farmer who moved. Fortunately, a BC lover kindly took her in to
help her find an appropriate life where she can be loved fully.

A very special thanks to Ashley
Porter who helped these pups find GHF and lives that fit them properly!

FLY:
8 week old FLY found a life that is completely right for him...plenty of
canine buddies and sports - he is going to do agility and enjoy lots of
mental and physical stimulation in his new home! This little furball needs
that and more! An amazing pup, he arrived at the Farm in time to meet his
new guardians and wowed them with his confidence and ability to just join
in anything and everything - he was fearless. A little boy ready to tug on
any toy and play with any dog and say hello to any person - he was ready
to go!! So, off FLY went to a new life in NJ where he's about to be
stimulated and challenged! He came from VT where he and three recent BC
pups came to rescue, were being sold outside in a petsmart parking lot.
All great pups, part of an accidental liter where their guardian needed to
find them homes fast cause she and her female BC were off to work, on her
truck route. An amazing story for sure but what wonderful pups found their
way to GHF and new lives!

Sweet
HAYDON found a fabulous life suited perfectly to him...as the
constant companion to his new FurMoms and living on a 74 acre farm to call
his own. Haydon loves keeping track of all that goes on so he'll take this
job to heart, joining his canine companions! Lots of fun ahead exploring
and hiking and of course, most importantly, to Haydon, cuddling! This
little lover won his new guardian's hearts with his incredible sweetness.
Haydon now lives in NY.
HAYDON:
A 1 year old Border Collie, Haydon is a delight. He's smart and sweet and
gentle plus of course, full of energy! He wants to play, play, play. Like
any young BC, he needs an outlet for his mind and body and in exchange,
he'll give you his heart. This lover boy is a cuddler, loving to be with
his person and then springs into action, for fun and play. He is great
with other dogs and would love a BC friend. Haydon lived with a female BC
but the guardians felt two young BC's were too much so he was relinquished
to the Farm. He is fine with cats and about 35 pounds. Haydon is a good
natured, curious boy who will easily enjoy a BC savvy home. He came
to the Farm from PA.

Sweet,
gentle SCOUT found exactly the right family to care for her, with
love and devotion. They came to meet this sweet girl based on her bio and
pictures and soon as they spent minutes with her, it was clear she was
going home with them! She won their hearts with her sweetness and that BC
stalking as she got to experience their little dog, Geraldine. Scout was a
perfect lady with just a little bit of herding and then lots of love for
her new family! She now lives in NJ.
SCOUT: A 2 year old
Border Collie, Scout is not only a gorgeous girl, she is a sweetheart. She
is friendly and easy going meeting people. She can be a little timid but
does want to say hi so overcomes that worry with some encouragement and
then she is a love-bug, covering your with kisses. Scout is s sensitive BC
so will do best with an adult home without a lot of chaos. She is a
thinker so does best with someone who understands how a BC experiences the
world. Once settled, she is just marvelous. She's gorgeous when she starts
running in a field, happy to dash around and loves to explore. She is not
a toy dog but more people focused so is a wonderful companion, not high
energy but with the energy to join you in what you are doing. Scout is
about 30 pounds and good with cats though can chase for fun so best with
dog savvy cats. She has lived with NY guardians for the last year.
She was found running on Interstate 81, dodging cars. Fortunately,
they stopped. She was very thin and had porcupine quills in her mouth.
Those days are over when she joined their home. However, toddlers are just
too much for her so Scout was relinquished to the Farm to find a more
appropriate home.

KINNON
found the perfect guardians and life that is exactly what works for him!
His new FurMom and FurDad understand the special needs of sensitive dogs
and are happy to make life simple and loving for their canine friends.
He'll enjoy being their constant companion and have his furbuddy, Ben, to
enjoy lots of running and playing. The two of them were wonderful together
as they romped and chased and made up herding games - it was adorable to
watch! Kinnon will have 115 acres to call his own and get to explore their
Farm and join in all the activities with jobs created that suit him well.
His new guardians were drawn to him and once they spent time together at
the Farm, they knew he was the boy to join their family. He now lives in
NY. Kinnon cuddled with his new FurDad and Mom as if they had been his
guardians forever, a long, long way from the rough life in Texas!
KINNON:
A
6 year old, Kinnon is outgoing and comfortable, happy to say hello to new
people. He is really friendly once he knows you and happily wants to be
your friend. He is quite the cuddler, loving being really close next to
you, too. Kinnon also loves toys- chasing balls and anything that
squeaks -a happy guy eager to play! Kinnon sometimes needs time when
meeting a group of people so working with treats for his introductions,
works well. He is very attentive to his person and very, very loving. Kinnon
really likes other dogs and would do well with another BC friend or more.
He is also a great walking partner. Kinnon
is about 40 pounds and good with cats. He was part of a
large group of dogs confiscated from a Texas 'breeder'.
Kinnon
is really ready for his new life and will bond quickly to someone who will
enjoy a friendly, good natured companion. He'll need some guidance
with new situations but is curious about life and doing really really
well!

Mr.
MICK found guardians who are wonderful and love this breed
completely. He'll have a new friend, GHF alum, Honey, who happily said
hello and hung out to get to know Mick. His new FurMom knew Honey needed a
friend again since loosing their BC senior boy and no matter how many
times she looked at the site, it was Mick who captured her attention. She
felt drawn to him so they came and off he went to a new life, loved
dearly, living in NY. We're so happy for this senior boy, full of charm
and character.
MICK:
An 11 year old Border Collie, Mick is a lover. He is super sweet and easy
going, really content to be by your side. Smart as can be, he'll respond
quickly to whatever is asked of him. He also has quite an 'eye' and is fun
to watch as he stalks the other dogs, using his great herding skill. Mick
would be thrilled to be with his person as a true companion, going
wherever they go and enjoying the adventure of life together. He loves
exploring outdoors and has a good recall, staying close by. Mick has lived
with a large pack of BC's so can fit in with dogs easily though might
enjoy less of a crowd, maybe a BC friend or two. He's a dream to live with
and in very good health. We run a geriatric profile on all seniors which
includes bloodwork, urinalysis and a thyroid panel and passed with flying
colors. Mick is about 35 pounds and good with cats. He was
relinquished to the Farm from an Ohio rescuer who had taken ill.

LAZOR
found a life that is tailored to him with 40 acres to explore and hike as
well as guardians who are around all the time which he will love! He'll
have a canine friend too, Missy so they can pal up together for
companionship. Lazor's new guardians found this sweet, gentle boy to be a
wonderful addition to their lives and were happy to open their hearts and
homes to him. He's so special that they knew he would be a great friend.
He now lives in NY.
LAZOR:
A 10 year old Border Collie, Lazor is smart as a whip and ready to play
ball as quick as you can throw it and loves attention. He's a classic BC
full of spunk and sweet as can be. He is an amazing athlete and can outrun
the 4 year old BC's here - he is fit and healthy and amazing to watch.
He, of course, settles beautifully by your side, happy to accompany
you wherever you go. Lazor is great in the car and loves to go everywhere.
He's a well-mannered, good natured boy who is very eager to please. Lazor
is fine with other dogs and lived with a few, including a Border Collie,
but he seems happiest with all the attention focused on him and he loves
to love his person, too. Lazor has lived with kids of all ages and really
enjoys them. He has great recall, eager to return to you while hiking or
anywhere you may be, while exploring with him. Lazor originally
came from a working farm in VT when the farm disbanded and has lived in
one home the last seven years, in NY, on a chain when left alone. He was
no longer wanted and surrendered to the Farm. He is fine with
cats and 40 pounds.

Sweet
PHOEBE found a great life on 42 acres with a BC buddy, her own pond
and trails for hiking! And, even more than all that great stuff, she will
have a job keeping track of all the llamas at the llama farm. She'll be
checking on baby llamas and watching all the action in her new life, just
like her big 'sister' who now oversees everything. We know Phoebe will
love being the constant companion to her new FurMom and do well with all
the fun of this active life. She now lives in NY.
PHOEBE: A petite 6 month old Border
Collie/Aussie, Phoebe is the sweetest thing. She is a bit timid but so
wants to be with her person that when she warms up, she's a cuddly girl,
happy as can be. Phoebe likes to play with other dogs so we will place her
with a more confident dog to help her blossom more easily. She is built
more like a lean BC than a wider, bigger aussie. She is focused and
curious but not overly hyper or intense like most BC's. She is about 35
pounds and good with cats. Phoebe came to the Farm with her sister,
Sasha, from an accidental litter. Her PA guardian wanted her to have the
best chance at a great life!

PANDA
found a wonderful life with GHF adopters who have Bennett (center) and
knew they could offer a great life to her, too. She joins her canine
friends where they have woods for walking and exploring as well as a nice
yard for tons of ball play. Her new guardians love to throw the ball to
their Border Collies! But, even better, she will be totally adored and
cherished and go everywhere they go! Panda now lives in Massachusetts.
PANDA: A 7 year old Border Collie,
Panda is a very happy, good natured, easy girl! She aims to please and
loves to be with her person, right by their side. She's also a ball
nut, happy to play whenever you want to throw for her. Her idea of a good
day is a day with ball tosses! Panda can be sensitive in chaotic
situations but step by step, makes sense of everything and relies on her
person as her friend. She's a wonderful companion. She loves to go for
walks and is happy to say hello to people, a great ambassador for the BC
breed. She's a happy girl who is going through a big change having lived
in one home since she was 7 weeks old. A move from California landed
her in a NYC apartment with city sounds and commotion which just didn't
suit her. She is carrying a little bit of extra weight from the
lack of having her own yard but will trim down to about 40 pounds. She is
not yet tested on cats.

SULLY
found exactly the right person for him - someone with a sense of humor,
lots of energy and great dogs - and he'll get to learn agility and be in
the spotlight! Sully is a natural for the sport and will have plenty of
time to excel, learning step by step, showing off his brilliance. He has a
zest for life just like his new guardian! Sully now lives in PA and will
be one busy, happy boy.
SULLY: A 2 year old Border Collie,
Sully is a smart boy who enjoys the action around him, especially playing
with another young BC. Sully is fast, focused and quite the wrestler and
chaser, having a blast running around. He is also a sweet, friendly,
loving guy who really enjoys being with his person. He's very responsive
to what is asked of him and eager to please. He'll do best with a dog
savvy guardian who really understands the mental challenge of having a
very intelligent BC and can provide for what Sully needs. He is good
natured and would love fitting into a home that understands his needs.
Sully is about 45 pounds and is good with cats. He came to the
Farm from upstate NY.

LOREN
found a wonderful home with understanding guardians who want to help her
and know she'll share all her heart with them as they learn about life
together. Her new FurDad was drawn to this wee girl and felt their current
dog and their life would suit her well. Both caring people, Loren now has
a team that will be with her forever, showing her that life is worth
exploration. This brave little BC can rest in their love when she's afraid
and venture out with help, playing, learning and growing. We are thrilled
for her. She now lives in PA, a very long way away from that Texas horror
she came from.
LOREN: A petite 5
year old Border Collie, Loren is a beauty, so gorgeous with sweet eyes.
She's a little thing and can easily squeeze into a small space to watch
the world go by but she's curious, too. Loren will come out to watch
other dogs in her foster home, keeping track of what they are doing as
well as herding them a bit but she tends to retreat back into her safe
spot in the house, either a crate or somewhere else that feels
comfortable. She is one of the 167 dogs confiscated from a
Texas 'breeder' so has a long way to go to trust that home life is
completely ok. Loren is doing great in taking the baby steps like
walking well on a leash and playing with toys, learning to enjoy them by
herself. She's also discovered that belly rubs feel good! She will require
a very patient guardian who wants a sweet companion to enjoy their yard
and their home, not a big life going lots of places. Loren has
traveled on vacation with her fosterers but it isn't something she needs
to do all the time since her life makes more sense being in her home.
She does love traveling in the car though and likes to check out
what's going on. Loren is about 30 pounds and not yet tested on
cats.

NALA
found the perfect guardian for her - someone who will focus on her every
need and take her everywhere, a real companion day in and day out. He fell
in love with her gorgeous blue eyes and then once he met her, was stunned
at just how sweet this beautiful girl is, happy to have her join his life.
He'd been hoping to meet this great girl for awhile, even lost some sleep
the night before, wondering how the match would go so once he'd spent time
at the Farm, he happily headed out with his new friend, a real treasure to
enjoy. He was thrilled with her and she with him. We know Nala now known
as Nolle, will be adored. She now lives in CT.
NALA: A 1 year old Border Collie mix,
Nala is a sweet girl, super friendly and eager to say hello to everyone.
She is not overly intense but she is young and active. She loves to
stretch her legs and run so would do best with larger space to do so. She
also loves to swim and run at the beach. She can have a canine friend,
ideally a submissive male dog. Like most girls, Nala can be bossy but does
love to wrestle and race and chase and she is a very physical player. Nala
is smart and focused on her person and is a great companion. She is about
50 pounds and is good with cats. Nala was at a NY shelter since the
home wasn't right for her. She was living in an apartment, crated
all day.

BART
came into a foster situation and ended up finding his forever home! A
sweet, gorgeous boy, Bart had some worries about meeting new people so
needed to stay in a home setting to help him learn to really trust again.
His FurDad and FurMom adored him and guided him, step by step, through the
slow process of relearning behaviors. Almost two years have gone by and
he's done beautifully but in the meantime, his new fosterers decided that
life would be best for him with them. They love him and know how hard he's
always trying to make good decisions, something they can help him with,
forever. We are really thrilled for Bart who found a special place to call
home where he'll be understood and adored. Many thanks to Heather and
Bruce Groff.
BART: A
1 1/2 year old Border Collie mix, Bart loves to play with other dogs and
he's a rough and tumble player. He loves to run and play all the time so
definitely needs a canine friend or two
who are the same way. Bart is also a lap dog, happy to give kisses,
and hop on your lap to cuddle. Bart does best with consistent
routine so will do best in an adult home that provides leadership. He
is a young dog and needs confidence building with strangers which
has been going beautifully in his foster home. Bart is smart, learns
quickly and loves to do well. He is best with no cats. Bart is
trained on the invisible fence system. He's now in the York PA
area. He was a stray in the local shelter. He's about 50 pounds

BAY:
A petite 7 year old Border Collie, Bay is a sweetheart. She's gentle and
easy going, quietly coming over to say hello and loving attention. She can
be a bit shy but is really a friendly, curious girl who loves people.
She's like your shadow once she knows you love her! Bay is very
affectionate, more of a companion oriented BC. She hasn't had much
experience with toys so is happy to just enjoy by your side. She enjoys
the other BC's, especially her best buddy, Dinah, so could easily live
with her. She is about 35 pounds and good with cats. Her previous
guardian rescued BC's in Ohio and became ill. |
Sweet
DINAH & BAY found their forever home together where they will
be adored companions to their new FurMom and Dad. They came a long
distance to meet them, overnighting with them in the adoption RV and found
these two to be enchanting friends. Bay gave all the cuddles that they
could ask for, and then some and of course shy Dinah bravely asked for
attention and learned that her new guardians could be trusted to love her.
We're so happy for this very special duo to have a great life. They will
enjoy hiking in a huge park nearby their home and lots of home time
hanging in their own yard.
DINAH:
A petite 5 1/2 year old Border Collie, Dinah is a funny girl who gets so
excited, bouncing around, trying to figure out what the action is all
about! She's an adorable, friendly little BC who would love to be
challenged and learn new things. She can be timid at first so needs a
patient person to gain her trust and help her feel confident. Once she
trusts you, her real BC nature comes out. She has no real interest in toys
yet but loves to go wherever you go, happy to race along. She's a lively character who will blossom beautifully.
Dinah is about 30 pounds and best with dog savvy cats. Her previous
guardian was an Ohio rescuer who became ill and gave up the dogs to GHF.

BLAZER
found a wonderful life in his foster home because when the day came that
someone wanted to meet him, his new FurMom said she just couldn't make the
drive to hand him to anyone else. Having fostered many dogs, she knew this
was a very special relationship way beyond another dog she wanted to help.
It would have broken her heart to let him go. So, Blazer is getting a new
collar to make his new life official! He now lives in upstate NY with two
GHF alums.
BLAZER: An 11 year old Border Collie
mix, Blazer is one happy, friendly, easy going guy! He loves every person
he meets and happily says hello with a tail wag and gentle nudge. He loves
his belly rubs and head scratches and also enjoys a great walk with his
person, too. Blazer is happy to say hello to other dogs and enjoys running
to explore with them. He's also a great traveler in the car. He is
one boy who could easily enjoy a quiet life or a busier one where he just
fits right in. He is good with cats and about 50 pounds. At GHF, we
do a geriatric screen on all seniors which includes bloodwork, urinalysis
and thryoid and his was normal so he's a healthy boy. He lived
in one home since a puppy but due to financial problems, he needed to come
to rescue. Blazer has been trained on the electric fence.

RAMSEY landed exactly where he
needed to be - as part of a great trio and with former GHF alum, Blue. He
absolutely loved this new pack and even more, his new guardians. Ramsey,
now Rook, raced and chased and ran, eager to join his new buddies. He'll
have 8 fenced acres to call his own to move that athletic body at high
speed, which he just loves to do, like Blue, too. They are both fast and
stunning to watch in action. This remarkable boy has it all now -tons of
love and exercise and play! He now lives in Canada. His new FurMom and
FurDad couldn't be happier - he was exactly what they were looking for!
RAMSEY: A
2 year old Border Collie, Ramsey is a friendly, good-natured guy who likes
to say hello to everyone. He makes friends everywhere. He is super sweet,
intelligent and eager to bond with people. He has no real interest in toys
at this point but is happy to go wherever his person goes. He loves to
play and herd other BC's and depending on the dog, he changes his style.
Some dogs he loves to wrestle with yet others he is a big herder.
He could easily have a BC friend or possibly be a solo dog but would
need an active home. Ramsey settles beautifully as a companion BC and
would love a life with someone around a lot. He is very affectionate.
He would be happiest with a large space to run since he can really
cover territory when he runs. He is about 45 pounds and is good with
cats. Ramsey was living on a Farm Delaware and landed in the
shelter after the guardians didn't want to manage his needs. He
did not do well with the horses there.

NICK
found the best life he could imagine - with two canine friends, one of
which is his new BC girlfriend, Annabelle, that loves him! They played and
played and raced and chased outside and inside the adoption office like
two long lost friends - it was adorable to see! Both were tired out after
their fun time together and ready to head home. Plus, he'll be the
constant companion to his new FurMom and enjoy plenty of hikes and playing
each day as well as plenty of car rides for dog travel trips! She knows
exactly how this sweet boy likes to have fun, in the same style as her
other dogs! Nick now lives in NY. We're thrilled for Nick who is now
happier than ever, a long way off from this hard start so sick the first
month coming into rescue. He'll clearly be adored forever now.
NICK:
This gorgeous 2 yr old boy has a fabulous
personality, a real people oriented Border Collie/Aussie mix. He is
super friendly, eager to say hello and ready to run, run, run. He is
loving the other BC friends, racing and chasing. Nick is so happy, a great
natured dog. He loves other dogs but doesn't like a dog to overpower
him so does best with playful, softer dogs. He would be happiest with a
canine friend since he has tons of play energy. He is 50 pounds and
a bit bigger structure than the average BC. Nick was aptly named
after St. Nicholas because it was Christmas Eve when volunteers kindly
stepped in to transport him from the
Long Island shelter where he was abandoned.
Nick is very curious about cats, his enthusiasm can be intimidating for a
cat so probably best with dog savvy cats. |

DOREE
found the guardian who would understand her needs and personality in such
a way that she could be appreciated for all her uniqueness. This quirky,
fantastic girl waited a year for that one special person to arrive and
that he did! Her new guardian found himself enamored with this brilliant
BC and intrigued by her strong will and yet, sweet nature, so much so that
he decided that sharing a life with her, would be fulfilling! He came to
spend time with Doree a few times, getting to know her nature and how her
mind worked. Once he spent enough time, he knew that the two of them could
create magic together, bonding to create a human/canine partnership with
deep meaning. He had been looking for another beloved canine to share his
life, one with very special qualities and it was Doree who intrigued him.
As we all know, this little powerhouse is super smart - we affectionately
call her our 'rocket scientist' so knowing that someone will meet her
halfway and unlock all her potential, is fantastic. All of us at GHF are
absolutely thrilled for Doree and her new FurDad. She now lives in NY.'
DOREE:
A
petite 3 1/2 year old Border Collie with ABCA papers, Doree is a super smart
girl who really loves to use her mind and will outsmart you if you are not
up to the task of challenging her! She is brilliant. She loves balls and
toys of any kind and will thrive in a situation with someone who enjoys
teaching her all kinds of things, besides just playing ball. That is
simple stuff for this smart BC. She's just learned about the frisbee and
is so eager to try anything, a complete natural - focused and agile. She
is also very sweet though she has a work ethic that makes her curious,
observant and eager to see what's next. She'll do really well with a BC
savvy guardian who love the bond that is so special with this breed who
meet you mentally, physically and emotionally, all at once. Doree is best
with dog savvy cats since she'll chase. She is trained on the invisible
fence system. She is about 35 pounds. She was relinquished to
the Farm from PA guardians who had a baby in the house and not as much
time for Doree.

Sometimes
the right person comes along just as the right rescue dog arrives and
that's exactly what happened for Dylan. He came to GHF, happy and
eager to play ball and enjoy a chance to bond again with someone special.
This very beloved BC needed a new man to call his own. Just days before,
his about to be new guardian had written us looking for a great dog to add
to his life. Turns out he was someone we knew from CT who knew us right as
we were starting 'our dream' of rescuing Border Collies! He and Dylan were
the perfect pairing! So, Dylan now has 55 acres to call his own plus a
pond for swimming and tons of ball time as the non-stop companion to his
new FurDad who thought he was just perfect! Dylan hopped into the truck as
if he knew his life was back on track! We are thrilled for them both, now
living in VT.
DYLAN: A 5 year old Border Collie,
Dylan is a great guy, happy to be with you and ready to play ball, ball,
ball! He likes to say hi and befriend everyone. He's fun and focused, a
classic BC. Dylan was used to having his FurDad with him all day since he
worked from home so he'll need a guardian who can devote time to him
again. He does prefer hanging with men since he's been the center of
attention in this home since a pup. Dylan's previous guardian had a
change in his work situation which left him alone long periods which were
not good so he was relinquished to the Farm. Dylan is about 50
pounds, a bit overweight due to recent inactivity. He is not yet tested on
cats. He does best in an adult home without the chaos of kids. He came to
the Farm from PA.

Sweet,
lovely SARA has patiently waited for the right person to find her
and now she's ready for the big step into her new life. Her year in rescue
has given her a great chance to learn about the real world and gain
confidence in everything dogs get to do in life - explore the great
outdoors; play with toys; go for walks; ride in the car and be totally
adored by people. And, now, she has a wonderful FurMom who patiently
understands that Sara needs help when nervous but overcomes scary things
more quickly now, a happier girl trusting all the love and attention
someone can give her. We are so happy for Sara to have her own person who
can adore her forever, as we have all come to do, too. She'll no longer be
left alone in a barn, handling thunderstorms and scary sounds, waiting for
someone to care properly for her - she now has everything she needs. Her
new guardian has kept Sara's picture on her computer telling her
granddaughter that Sara was 'grandma's virtual dog' til now she becomes
her real dog! She now lives in Rhode Island.
SARA: A 7
1/2 year old Border Collie with
ABCA papers, Sara is an incredibly sweet girl who absolutely loves people.
She is super friendly and wants to be your friend instantly. She is very
well mannered and gentle and never imposes herself. She's a very polite
girl who only asks for love and something to do WITH you. She is a
marvelous companion though she comes from good working lines where she
could easily have been herding sheep. However, the people who bought her
never gave her the chance so Sara's relaxed into being a sweet girl who
loves to join in day to day life. She loves toys and entertains herself
with squeaky ones, tossing them in the air. Sara is best as a solo dog
since that is what she's used to. She is not comfortable with other
dogs in her space. Sara lived in VT all her life and
is now enjoying all the action at the Farm! She is 40lbs, typical
in size for the breed and good with cats. We feel a hard fence would be
better than an invisible fence since Sara is a soft dog who could
become worried by the system.

NOOT
found his forever home after a long drive from PA to the Farm to show him
to an adopter. Through the process of showing this great boy, the adopter
starting feeling that this BC already belonged to someone - the foster
person! And while she would have loved to add him to her life and she
herself had driven 5 hours from VT to meet him, she just felt it was the
wrong thing to do! In her heart, she could tell that the pairing of man
and dog had been made and Noot's happiness was already set in motion. So,
two humans, both making very long car rides to help this wonderful BC find
his home, did just that. Both are feeling the right decision was much more
important than all the driving in the world. Noot is staying with his
fosterer, living in the life that suits him perfectly, in PA. He is the
constant companion to his new FurDad.
NOOT:
An 9 yr old border collie with ABCA papers, Noot (Nanoot) is a sweet
guy that really loves to be in the middle of the fun! He'll play
ball if that's what you want to do or he'll enjoy a good hike, hanging
with his person. Noot is a sweet guy, friendly and easy going.
He loves attention and can also relax by himself. He's great
athletic, fast to catch any ball thrown and is also happy to push the
soccer ball right up to your feet. He has no problems with other
dogs, but does not really interact with them, much more interested in his
person and the ball. Noot is great off leash and will stay with you
on hikes and is very responsive to whatever is asked of him. Turns
out we had Noot's Dad here - Odie - not long ago! So, we know why
he's such a nice guy. He is about 45 pounds and Noot will chase cats but
not hurt them so best with dog savvy cats. He
was originally given up due to the death of his NJ guardian.

Sweet
SADIE came to GHF last fall in a bind, needing a new home quickly
when her guardian had to give up all her dogs. Since Sadie had lived in
one home for the last eleven years, we knew she needed to be in a home as
quickly as possible. A foster home was important for this girl so when one
of our adopters answered our plea to help, off Sadie went. Now, many
months later, this wonderful girl won't have to worry every again - she's
found her place for the rest of her life. She's got a houseful of BC
buddies, including a GHF alum, so life is good - lots of ball play with
guardians who adore her. She now lives in NJ.
SADIE: A 13 year old Border Collie,
Sadie is a doll, ready to say hello and ready to catch a ball, too! She is
very easy going, confident and good natured, adjusting easily to a new
situation. She is a smart girl who likes to be in the middle of the action
and understand what's going on around her. She's not afraid to tell a
pushy young dog to back off, but it's done nicely. Dogs she meets that
have respect for this intelligent girl, do great! Sadie is very sweet and
very loving. She is full of spunk and ready to join in ball play! She is
used to living with a lot of dogs so very tolerant. She was
surrendered to the Farm due to an unforeseen hardship with her PA guardian
who has to give up all 9 of her dogs. Sadie is about 50 pounds ,carrying
some extra weight. She is good with cats.

RAINE:
This little BC mix pup is coming to the states with a wonderful home
waiting for him!! We received this email from Saudi Arabia and knew
we could help. With a quick check of the puppy file of adopters patiently
waiting for rescue BC mix pups, the perfect home was his! He'll be
living on 27 acres in Maine with another canine friend and be the constant
companion to his new guardians. We'll have pictures to share upon his
arrival at the Boston airport! This little overseas traveler is
about to enjoy all the love he deserves, thanks to an incredible dog lover
who contacted GHF.
"Hello
- I am an American living and working in Saudi Arabia. A young
border collie mix appeared in the garage of my house about 4 weeks ago
during a sandstorm. I've taken him in and have tried,
unsuccessfully, to find him a home (and also put up flyers, hoping he was
lost and might be claimed). He is super sweet/wonderful and I want
to find a good home for him - rather than turn him over to the Bahrain
SPCA. They do great work, but I worry, with the unstable political
situation here and many expats leaving and abandoning their dogs, that he
will become one of the many dogs stuck in the shelter.
Anyway, I came
across your website last night (was moved by the work you're doing and
story about how you started it) and would really love it if you all could
take him and find him a good home. I would be willing to fly him to
the U.S.... " |

BRADLEY
showed off all his charming nature including frisbee and ball antics and
landed his new life quickly! This cute guy has such a puppy nature that
his new FurMom and FurDad felt he'd fit their life perfectly. He'll have
11 acres to call his own for lots of outdoor exercise and a cozy, warm
home life, cuddling with them inside. He'll have constant companionship
with loving guardians who adore the breed. Bradley now lives in
Massachusetts.
BRADLEY:
A 6 year old Border Collie with ABCA papers, Bradley is an adorable guy
with great enthusiasm for everything! He's a bit like an overgrown puppy,
excited to meet other dogs and happy to say hello to everyone he meets. He
is good natured and discovering all kinds of new things in life, being at
the Farm. Bradley likes meeting other dogs but is used to be a solo dog.
He is curious and responds to attention eagerly though he has not
had any formal training. Bradley is a frisbee nut, totally loving to play
with the frisbee or balls! He will need a dog savvy guardian to help shape
him to adjust to living in a home since he was chained outside in his
previous life. The previous guardians felt having two BC's in the house
was too much chaos so he became an outside dog during the day and in at
night. Though he lived on 40 acres, he was only allowed to run when the
guardians were with him, so most of the time, he was restricted.
He comes to the whistle. The people had horses which he left alone,
for the most part. Bradley will be placed with adults who can help him
blossom. He is good with cats and good in the car. He came from
NY. He is about 45 pounds.

BRENNER
landed right where he's supposed to be - with his new guardians! He'll be
their constant companion, day in and day out, enjoying plenty of ball play
and lots of walks. A perfect combination couldn't suit Brenner any better.
They instantly fell in love with his sweet nature and playful puppy like
antics eager to get the ball. But, it was all that attentive eye-gazing
charm that only Brenner knows how to do, that won their hearts fully. He
now lives in NY with a great yard to call his own and two people who adore
him! We're really happy for this good natured boy to have landed after
waiting almost a year for his forever home. Ironically, he wasn't even on
their list to meet but once here, he sure seemed like he would fit
perfectly with what they were hoping for and he most certainly, did!
BRENNER:
A 7 year old Border Collie, Brenner is adorable, a really friendly, happy
go lucky guy who lives for a ball throw! He is quite charming and makes
you chuckle as he gets that twinkle in his eye waiting for his ball.
Brenner is very, very sweet, too, happy to cuddle once he's had enough
ball play! He is smart and loves to be with his person, side by side,
wherever they go. He is very easy going and settles beautifully inside but
once outside, is waiting for that ball toss. He would love leash walks and
exploring, too. He is about 40 pounds and is not good with cats. He would
be best as a solo dog. Brenner has an eyesight deficiency due to PRA,
Progressive Retinal Atrophy, a genetic condition which changes the retinal
function. Over time, this will worsen but there is no way to know the
timing. Many BC's with PRA do not loose all of their vision but most have
limited vision at night. At this point, he gets around
beautifully. Brenner was part of a confiscation case in PA.

CHASE
found a delightful life filled with everything any Border Collie could
want - a loving guardian who is going to do lots of agility with him and
loves to teach and train, stimulating a smart dog who needs to work....and
a canine buddy who likes to herd and play just like him....AND a property
filled with 2 ponds and tons of hiking cause while his home is on two
acres, he has 2500 acres to call his own, too. Chase will blossom in this
setting and we are sure to hear great things about this wonderful boy who
can easily thrive with everything set in his path. He now lives happily in
Vermont.
CHASE: A petite 10 month
old Border Collie with papers, Chase lives up to his name - all action! He
is fast and focused and can turn on a dime. He loves to run with other
BC's and herd them as they race around, too. Chase would be an incredible
sport dog with his size and focus and people orientation. He is super
friendly, good natured and eager to say hello to everyone. Chase is smart
as a whip and ready to learn whatever is in front of him, a very
responsive boy. He's also quite the charmer - everyone who meets him,
loves him. Chase likes to talk to you, also, with short little barks to
get your attention and if you ask him what he wants, he'll answer! He
would be a blast to have an extensive vocabulary of words upon which he
could respond. Chase needs another young BC friend to handle his energy
and/or an outlet for his mind with someone who understands this breed. He
is a classic high energy young BC. Chase has not yet been tested with
cats. He came to the Farm from NJ guardians who felt he was too much
to handle with their 6 year old BC. He was a beloved companion to
his FurDad, going everywhere with him. Chase loves the water and
dashes in, almost as fast as on land!

Little
AARON has big plans in his new life with his BC Buddy, Finn
-they're going to make up tons of games, racing, chasing and wrestling
around. These two hit it off instantly! His new guardians were thrilled
to add this little pup to their lives, falling in love before they met
him and even more so once they laid eyes on him. Quite the charmer,
little Aaron made them chuckle! They happily headed out to New Hampshire
to start a new journey with two BC buddies! |

Sweet
ARTIE found his new home with adopters who were patiently waiting
to adopt two dogs from GHF - an adult and a pup - so when the puppies
arrived, they came right away for Artie. His sweet eyes and wonderful
face charmed them completely! Watching two grown adults become cooing,
baby talking, giggling humans, was wonderful to see and Artie will
surely have a life filled with plenty of love. He'll have their non-stop
companionship and his own pond to enjoy, too! He now lives in upstate NY
and will have another GHF friend joining him soon! |
|
 |
Adorable
ADIE found his new life with GHF alumn, Maddie who happily said
hello quickly voting to be his big sis! He followed her around the
adoption RV learning quickly just how fast a grown BC can move around -
adorable to watch! And, then he settled in for lots of cuddles from his
new kids and FurDad who made the trip from Massachusetts to bring him
home! He'll enjoy 6 acres of great property for lots of playing ahead!!!
Adie will surely be cherished. |
|

|
Little
ALEC happily cuddled with his new FurMom & FurDad, happy to
be the center of attention. He showed off all his brilliance with toys
and treats but again, enjoyed their lap and love most of all. This sweet
boy will have 7 acres to call his own with plenty of space to explore
which he loves. And, in a few months, they'll be back for a BC buddy
cause they feel two Border Collies are happier together than one so Alec
will have someone to race, chase and run in all that great property. He
now lives in NY |
|

|
Gorgeous
Andi found his home with GHF alum, Allie, who is very camera shy
wiggling to race off but happy as could be to have a BC buddy to call
her own! Andi was fascinated with her as she was with him. His new
guardians were absolutely thrilled to have Andi, now Bodie, join their
family. They had been patiently waiting for a special pup to show up at
GHF and soon as he did, they were top of the list! Andi now lives in NY,
happily adored for the rest of his life. |

DIEGO
found the right people who could give him everything he needs - a herding
buddy, 12 acres of property to explore and enjoy AND tons of love, day in
and day out. He'll be the constant companion to his new FurMom, which he
already loved! He'll also get lots of hikes with his new FurDad,
some swimming in their pond and accompany him wherever he goes. And, that
includes enjoying a gorgeous lakefront home, too! Diego gave us his
nod of approval, with that soulful look of his, as he hopped into the car
headed off to a great new life. He now lives in upstate NY.
DIEGO: A 1 1/2 year old Border Collie,
Diego is a very smart, attentive boy who is great with people and very
eager to please. He loves attention and is super affectionate. Diego is
also quite a herder, with a keen interest in livestock however he's too
strong on the sheep to work on a farm so will be placed in an active home.
He has wonderful recall for hiking and loves other dogs, actively herding
them and engaged in everything going on around him. Diego will be placed
in a more rural setting since that is what he's used to and can easily
jump fences. He is about 45 pounds and good with cats. Diego
came to the Farm from a MD guardian with 500 sheep who could not manage an
untrained BC.

ROSS
found the absolutely perfect home for him with two little buddies who play
just like him! And, he has a loving guardian who just adored him and was
thrilled to find a little mini BC boy to add to her life! He now lives in
NY and will be her constant companion.
ROSS: A 10 month old Border Collie mix,
Ross is the tiniest little guy, only 10 pounds and full of personality. He
has a big hello to everyone and loves to join in the fun with other dogs.
He was so excited to meet 25 pound Cricket, a farm dog, and ran as fast as
possible, making up games with her. He's a little more cautious with
normal size BC's, but a pretty happy guy nonetheless. Ross is a pocket
size BC mix pup, happy to be in your arms and check out the world. He is
interested in toys and curious about everything. Ross is fine with cats, a
bit afraid. At only 10 pounds, he's smaller than many cats himself. He
was a stray in CT picked up by animal control who contacted us for
help. This little guy
walks on his hind legs , arms down, standing straight as an arrow with his
little front legs straight down at his sides.. a great trick dog! He is
interested in cats and will chase but not hurt them.
