CHAS found his forever
home with another Border Collie who likes to play in the water just as
much as he does and also loves jolly balls! Chas will also get lots of
hikes as he accompanies his guardian at work for her research projects
plus he'll get to try herding and agility. He will happily be one busy
Border Collie living in New Hampshire!
CHAS: A 1 year old
Border Collie with ABCA papers, Chas is a gem, very curious about
everything around him and eager to explore. He is smart and focused and
wants to play with other dogs. He is quickly enjoying his Border Collie
friends at the Farm and could enjoy living with another BC or as a solo
dog in an active home. Chas loves toys and is interested in learning anything and everything. He
is very playful and needs a furry friend for an outlet for his energy. He
also loves the water and will enjoy a good dunk in the tub or swim in the
creek. He is about 40 pounds, and he is not sure what to do
with cats (gets a bit excited), will probably chase, so best with bc savvy
cats . Chas
was given up due to a lifestyle change, from upstate NY. He was very loved
and cared for properly til the recent changes which left him alone 8-10
hours a day. |

BAXTER came to the
farm one Sunday from a shelter in PA where he had been abandoned by an
Amish breeder. At 8 months old, this sweet guy was happy to be at the Farm
running and playing. One of our volunteers who works with us fell in love
instantly that day and knew he would fit perfectly with her pack and the
other blue merle BC, Bleu, she had adopted. The two of them were a
wonderful match and Baxter now happily lives in upstate NY.
Baxter is super good natured which is amazing
considering this sweet guy was neutered with rubber bands around his
testicles at 3 months old, a technique often used with livestock. |

TAM found her forever
home with two other Border Collies, one young one who loves to play just
like her and the other, who loves the ball so she'll be non-stop playing,
border collie style! Tam fit in perfectly and won the hearts of her new
guardians who adore the breed. She now lives in Rhode Island.
TAM:
A petite 3 month old Border Collie, Tam is a lively, fast, high energy
little girl ready to play, chase and race. She is great with other dogs
and needs another Border Collie friend. Tam is smart, very comfortable
with people and seems pretty confident for a young dog. She is about 20
pounds and not yet tested on cats. She was relinquished to a PA
shelter. |

OLLIE found his
forever home with a loving guardian who fell in love with his sweet nature
and loveable eyes as well as his classic border collie quirks and
brilliance. She knows border collies well, having friends and family with
them (even one from the Farm) so is all set to enjoy this wonderful guy
forever! Ollie now lives in Md. Ollie happily headed out the gate to his
new life!
OLLIE A 6
year old Border Collie, Ollie is a fun-loving boy who wants to play ball
and race around. He’s very fast, and up for any games. With a toy
in his mouth, he enjoys retrieval games as well as chase games which he
loves to play with kids. Ollie is eager to connect with people,
sharing his sweet nature. He is very gentle, obedient and eager to please.
He loves an interactive relationship with people and can easily live
anywhere where he can play but he also loves to chill out right by your
side when inside. He'll lay at your feet wherever you are, quiet as
can be or then hop up, and head out for fun! He is about 40 pounds. Ollie
is not good with cats. Ollie was relinquished to the Farm because of
lack of time for him. |

BOO found her forever home
with adopters who have a senior dog from the Farm already and wanted to
open their hearts and home again to help one in need. She quickly
fit into their home routine, sleeping right by the bed, sweetly giving and
asking for affection and fitting in with the dog gang at the house. Boo
won their hearts quickly and now has a forever home in PA.
BOO is a twelve year
old border collie that found herself in a NJ shelter because her long time
friend had to go into a nursing home and couldn't take her. Boo is
all heart, sweet through and through, and still enjoys kicking up her
heels for some play. She has fit right into her temp foster home
with 4 other dogs and gets long with cats. She is quite the charmer
with her pretty eyes and loves to be with her person best. She
came from NJ. |

Fabulous FIN
found his forever home with another wonderful Border Collie mix who was
adopted three years ago. Fin's new guardians were smitten by Fin's
sweet, comical nature, happily trotting around with his toy in his mouth.
And, just like his new furry friend, Joey, Fin then hopped up on the couch
and took a rest while his new people talked about all the details of his
new life. We are so happy for Fin to find his place where he'll be
forever adored. Fin has been in rescue for almost a year, experiencing
three foster homes and living in The Connor House, too, all helping to
prepare him for this day. Little Fin came to us from a trucker, never
having been in a yard or car and having little experience with life.
The Fin we saw today headed out with his new fur Mom,
with a little coaxing with treats and then jumped right into the car,
happy to be next to his new person. We are so proud of Fin and all
the progress he made, starting out as a very insecure scared pup who now
loves everyone. A special thanks to Lori Coon, Pat Toomey, Kim Renak,
Susan Monnelly and our entire caretaker team who worked lovingly to help
Fin. He now lives with Joey in western NY where he'll be loved
forever.
FIN: A
1 1/2 year old Border Collie mix,
Fin is a charming, good natured dog who enjoys other dogs immensely. He is
very physical and loves to be chased as fast as he can as well as all
kinds of wrestling and body blocking games. He is very high energy in his
play needs but fairly quiet once inside. Fin is very smart, eager to
please and willing learn. He can be a bit skittish with sounds outside at
times so does best with another confident dog who wants to play which
helps him gain his confidence. Fin is very fun and affectionate a a real
sweetheart. He is good with cats and about 35 pounds. He was given
up to the Farm due to his needs and the guardians wanted him to have
another dog for play. He came from NJ.

LANCE found his
forever home with marvelous guardians who cherish their dogs and clearly
were smitten by Lance and his good-natured sweet ways. Lance loved the
little schnauzer, Springer, since he used to live with a dachshund so he
felt right at home. And, of course, Lance loved the hugs and kisses and
then happily headed off to his new life in upstate NY where he'll have
acres and acres to explore in his new rural life living on 40 acres with 5
acres electronic fenced, perfect for a border collie!
LANCE: A 2 1/2 year old Border Collie
with ABCA papers, Lance is a wonderful sensitive Border Collie, quite
gentle meeting people and very attuned to everyone he greets. He is very
sweet and loving and attentive. He is not overly intense or high energy,
rather a more thoughtful Border Collie, making decisions step by step,
much like a working dog. Lance also loves to play with other Border
Collies, racing and herding and gets along with all the dogs he meets.
Lance lived with other dogs previously in an unfenced situation, but
has strong herding instincts with moving bikes or joggers so will need a
hard fence. Lance will be placed with older children or in an adult
home since young children make him nervous, which is very common with the
breed. Lance is about 35 pounds and is great with
cats. He came to the Farm from PA where he was a beloved family
member.

MAJOR found his
forever home with a loving family that visited him recently and then his
FurDad came back a bit later when they were all set to have him join their
family. Major's focused play with the jolly ball and his classic BC
herding 'eye' won their hearts plus his gentle good nature was the perfect
fit for the little girl in the family, for whom Major would be her first
dog. It's been said that first dogs are special angels on assignment that
have important work to do because they open the hearts of children and
adults in a brand new way, sharing all the unconditional love that only a
dog can offer. We sincerely believe that Major waited almost a year to the
day to find his new 'work' because he is an angel in fur, a wonderful
heart worker just looking for the people who were his to join. We'll miss
this special Border Collie but know he will surely be adored and share his
heart fully. Major now lives in CT with a huge yard and a weekend home on
100 acres in Vermont!
Update from Home:
"We made it home with no problems at all. Major was a perfect
gentlemen. He is a very sad tomato though because he misses you and
farm. I felt so bad leaving. He was very confused and quiet
most of the way but started to cheer up a little after Albany. He
cuddled next to me in the front most of the way. When we got
home we surprised Jessica completely. The look on her face I
will never forget. He has been through a very long day and just
wanted to rest. The picture sums it up very well. We promise
to send more pics." James
MAJOR:
A 3 year old Border Collie with ABCA papers, Major is stunning to see in
action and quite a thinker. He is very smart and would thrive in a
situation where he could use his mind, body and heart. He is very
affectionate and friendly to everyone he meets, a real people dog, happy
to play or happy to lounge in your lap. He loves the water and will
enjoy a good dunk in the tub or swim in the creek. He also loves the
frisbee and will happily 'set-up' for a good throw, over and over again.
He is a confident dog and gets along best with female border
collies, not males. He could be a solo dog in an active home. Major is
also good with cats and is about 45 pounds. Major loves a challenge and
will be placed with Border Collie savvy guardians who understand the needs
of the breed. He is part of the 25 dogs surrendered to the farm from
a guardian in PA who had personal problems financially and with alcohol. |

SPARKY found his
forever home the day he arrived in his foster family's house. They fell in
love instantly and happily welcomed him into their lives. He joins three
other dogs from the Farm and two loving guardians and their children, all
of whom have hearts of gold. Sparky now lives in Ct.
SPARKY:
A 15 year old Border Collie, Sparky is one of the most delightful dogs to
come into rescue. He is a doll, absolutely wonderful with everyone, happy
to be with people and fine with other dogs. Sparky is good natured, easy
going and very well balanced. He is super sweet, and filled with energy.
Everyone who meets him, even the vet who did his wellness check, could not
believe the energy in this 15 year old..no one can believe he is a senior,
which is testament to the nature of this breed, active and healthy for a
long long time. Sparky is good with cats. He is carrying a bit of
extra weight but we aren't too concerned about that considering at 105
years old (in human terms), most of us would have a few extra pounds too!
Sparky was relinquished to the Farm from his guardian who took him in at
age 13 after his original guardian had a house fire, loosing everything.
The woman who has had him felt she couldn't provide the care any longer. He
came to the Farm from NJ and is now in a foster home being lovingly adored
in CT, with one of our adopters.

GREAT NEWS FOR RAVEN!
He is staying with his foster family who have not only fallen in love with
him but they know with his health challenges, he's in the right place for
forever! Raven's digestive problems are under control and he's back up to
a great weight of 74 pounds, like normal. He's such a sweet guy that they
are even thinking he'll become one of their therapy visiting dogs! We are
thrilled for Raven and so appreciative of Judi and Andy who gave him their
hearts and all the help he needed.
RAVEN
is a 7 year old neutered male Border Collie mix. He is a wonderful
sweetheart, so happy to be with you and eager to go anywhere you want to
go, a real lover. Raven would be a marvelous companion and is great with
kids, dogs and cats. He also loves to explore the outdoors, happy to sniff
and run and take in a beautiful day. He also loves toys and ball play of
any kind! Raven has one health situation that is being solved now in
foster care. He has a pancreatic insufficiency and will need digestive
enzymes to help him digest food. A few tablets before each meal provide
what he needs. His foster family is presently bringing him back to normal
weight since he finally has the ability to retain the nutrients he needs.
Raven came into rescue horribly underweight and had been beaten for having
loose stools, under the assumption he was not housetrained. In fact, he
has a health challenge that can be solved. Raven's original guardian
passed away and Raven's life has been a tough one since then. One
of the family members stepped in to care for him but left him alone
several days at a time, hollered at him and generally did not want him.
Fortunately, when he was turned into a PA shelter they contacted the farm
to take him since they are so full. He's a beautiful dog - inside and out-
and deserves a great family to love. He is presently being fostered
in Buffalo, NY.

Sweet FAITH found her
forever home a bit before she was even officially available when two of
our board members met her and were completely smitten. Faith's sweet,
gentle, shy nature won them over because they adopted another GHF dog
rather similar a few years ago, Cassie. They understood exactly what she
would need to blossom and trust a new life filled with love. Faith will be
living with four other GHF Border Collies and three other furry friends as
part of her new canine pack of friends. She'll have plenty to do,
including herding all of them! She now lives in upstate NY.
FAITH:
A 1 year old Border Collie, Faith is so gentle and sweet, gently licking
your hand as you set it near her. She'll quietly come up when you're not
looking and give the greatest kisses, then retreat away from the action.
She is a shy girl right but loves the soft touch of someone with her and
is happiest with her canine friends. Faith comes to life chasing other
Border Collies and absolutely loves having a dog friend so will be placed
with another Border Collie, ideally. We are still working to support
Faith's health fully before placing her in a new home. She will be placed
with another dog or dog(s) in a quiet adult home. Faith is good with
cats and will be placed in a hard fence situation only since the
electronic fence would add to the skittishness already present. She is
currently in the founder's home, enjoying life with the gang of Farm dogs.
Faith and two other BC's came to us from a puppy mill situation in
PA where they were fortunately rescued.

LUCY found her forever
home with another Border Collie who likes to herd as much as she does.
Together, they'll be chasing geese and enjoying agility and flyball, all
of which will help build Lucy's confidence. She clearly loved her new
person and became fast friends with her canine friend as they clicked into
mental border collie games like they had lived together all their lives.
Lucy will surely be adored and has found a person who can patiently guide
her into fully trusting that life is great! Lucy now lives in NY.
LUCY is a very very
petite (approx 22lbs),
10 month old Border Collie who loves to herd. She is very focused
and fast and since she is so small, able to move, turn and angle quickly.
She is happiest herding other Border Collies or chasing and playing with
them since she is clearly very smart and needs the mental stimulation of
another smart dog. She loves people and attention, a real sweetheart who
cuddles up with you. Outdoors she is all action, dashing after the other
dogs to play and exploring everywhere. She is smart, fast, and full of
energy. Lucy does have a skittish nature with new people and especially
men so will go to a border collie savvy home with other herding dogs and
with someone who can build her confidence. She could easily learn agility
which would build her confidence but will need someone seasoned with this
breed to work with her. Lucy is curious about cats but submissive. Lucy came
from a home where she spent most of her day in a crate too small for her,
from CT. |

PALMER found his
forever home, waiting patiently for just the right guardians who would
understand his athletic, outgoing, energetic nature as well as his soft
cuddly personality. They loved him instantly and he fit perfectly with his
new furry friend, too. Palmer is about to join in a special endeavor
learning Search & Rescue where he'll undergoing rigorous training to
be able to help find people in natural disasters, ski slope disasters and
whatever other situations where there is need. We are certain that his
fearless nature combined with remarkable love for people will surely save
many lives. He now lives in Rhode Island.
PALMER: A 14 month old Border
Collie/Aussie mix, Palmer is very friendly with people and loves to have
lots of attention, happy to play ball or cuddle. He is very alert, smart
and active but not overly intense like many Border Collies. He can easily
relax and enjoy being with his person. Palmer is a marvelous athletic dog,
running really fast and strong and very focused so could be a great sport
dog and he's also an outstanding frisbee player! He bonds very quickly and takes direction, loving to learn anything
and everything. He is a wonderful loving companion who would really enjoy
a close companion relationship with an active person. A very well mannered guy, he is
very good natured and easy going. He could be a solo dog or have a canine
buddy. Palmer is about 45 pounds and not good with cats. He was
surrendered to a PA shelter that frequently works with the Farm.

JOY found a wonderful
home where she can share her sweet joy with her new guardian who
absolutely loves the breed. They'll be constant companions and she'll have

furMom will share their hearts forever. Joy now lives in MA.
JOY:
A 1 year old Border Collie, Joy is very outgoing and confident, happy to
jump up on your for attention and eager to always say hello. She adores
everyone she meets and is a real loving girl. She is an adorable girl with
lots of spirit and loves to play with toys, too. She is smart, attentive
and loves to be with you. Joy will be placed in a hard fence situation
only and in a home with other young Border Collies, ideally. Joy is good
with cats. Joy and two other BC's came to us from a puppy mill
situation in PA where they were fortunately rescued. |

RAZZ found his forever
home in his foster home where the guardians fell in love and while they
tried to consider other homes as they came up, they were conflicted about
sending him off and eventually felt so certain he was perfect for them,
that he needed to stay there! He clearly loves his new family and his new
furry friends, one of which is from the farm. They both are like husband
and wife and now real buddies for life. Razz will be adored forever living
in upstate NY.
RAZZ: A 2 yr old Border Collie/Aussie,
Razz is a sweetheart, full of energy and ready to play. He loves people
and is very very happy to be a lap dog with belly rubs and lots of licks
in return. He is a wonderful, sweet dog. Razz will be placed with another
dog since his energy needs are high. He is very physical in racing,
running and wrestling with other dogs. Razz is about 50 pounds and is good
with cats but very active and curious so can intimidate a cat not used to
dogs. Razz will do best with a seasoned person who can build his
confidence with strangers since he can over-react to meeting someone new
sometimes. He will be placed in an adult home. He came to the Farm from a MA shelter who felt he
needed a home that understood his needs so would be best placed by a
rescue. Razz is in foster care in upstate NY and can be seen
at the farm |

MOE found his forever
home with a family who fell in love instantly when they saw him on the
site and then again, in person. They had a beloved Border Collie/Beagle
before and once they saw those big round eyes giving them that wonderful
look only Moe could give, that was it! Moe now lives in upstate NY and not
only has two wonderful girls to call his own for lots of play, he also has
a lake house for summer fun!
MOE:
An 1 yr old bc
mix, is adorable, a real people pup. He loves everyone and is easy going and
confident, happy to be a part of the action. He is great with other dogs
and happens to love cats. Moe is very smart, loves to play but most importantly,
loves to cuddle!! He will happily chase any toy that is thrown, but needs another young
dog for his energy though he settles in for hugs and kisses when it's
time. Moe came to the Farm when another rescue asked for help
since they were full. He is being fostered in CT. |

Miss MORGAN found her
forever home with her foster mom who stepped up to open her home and heart
to this sweet, remarkable girl. A real Friend of the Farm, her foster Mom
has fostered before but quickly realized that Morgan had captured her
heart in such a special way that she just couldn't live life without her.
Morgan will continue enjoying tons of frisbee, trail walks and lots of
love living in upstate NY.
MORGAN:
A 12 year old Border Collie, Morgan is very sweet, obedient and well
trained, a wonderful companion. She is also quite a character, very
spirited and interested in everything and everyone. No one meeting her can
believe she is this age! She is fast, hikes long trails like the young
dogs and can catch any ball thrown her way, speeding over just in time.
Sometimes she just loves a roll in the grass; other times exploring every
inch of the yard; and other times, she wants to be your shadow 'on duty',
checking out all the action. Morgan loves to ride in the car and her
favorite treat is american cheese - just say cheese and she heads for the
fridge for her nightly treat. Morgan has lived as a solo dog but could
also easily live with another dog and enjoys the companionship of Border
Collies. She is a very sweet girl who absolutely loves children and
everyone she meets. Morgan is a bit nervous with cats so will need calm
cats so she can get used to them. She came to the Farm,
relinquished due to the change in life where her guardians are moving to
an assisted living situation and cannot take her. She came from Staten
Island NY. Morgan is being fostered in upstate NY where she's
hiking and playing ball all day! |

BECKE found his
forever home with another canine friend who likes to race, chase and
wrestle like he does. They were instant friends, like they lived together
all their life, both wandering around the fields together side by side,
then racing and chasing and playing non-stop. Becke will get to try
agility and flyball too so he'll be one happy Border Collie. Becke's new
guardians fell in love quickly as they saw his brilliance and bonded
quickly with him. He now lives in MA.
BECKE: A 1 1/2 year old
Border Collie, Becke is all about play. He is super smart and ready to go,
go, go. Becke is very responsive to learning and eager to bond with
someone who understands him. He's also quite the cuddler and loves a good
belly rub. He is very athletic and agile and will play endlessly with
toys, like any young Border Collie. He is great with other dogs and good
with cats. Becke was given up due to a mismatch with the older Border
Collie who couldn't handle the play style of a young BC. Becke came
from PA. |

MILES found a
wonderful home much like the farm...in fact, his own Farm on 39 acres! So
the beloved Smiley Miley, as we called him, will get to be in charge of
his farm, happily keeping track of all that happens there. His new
guardians fell in love with his smiles online and of course, then in
person! Miles now lives in upstate NY.
MILES: A
3 year old
Border Collie, Miles is not only a gorgeous sable color, he also has a
wonderful personality, friendly with everyone he meets. He is eager to say
hello, very gentle in his greeting and then wants to play and be with you
wherever you go. Miles has an easy going temperament and is wonderful off
leash, coming instantly when called. He is interested in other dogs and
interacts well. He may be happy as a solo dog or with other dogs. He is
about 40 pounds and good with cats. Miles lived with a guardian who died
early this year and has been living at the house alone since then. He has
always been an outdoor dog, allowed to run free on his property, sleeping
in the garage at night. He is the perfect gentleman and is acclimating
really well to a more indoor life - he just wants to be with his person. He
came from upstate NY, relinquished directly to us from a relative who felt
he should have a more normal pet life. |

RILEY is
a sweet, gentle, petite 9 year old Border Collie who loves
everyone. He even has a smile when he meets you, we call him
"Smiley Riley"! He is loving and affectionate the
instant he meets you, wanting to be with you. He adores people and
also loves to play with other dogs, chasing around the yard super fast.
Riley is gentle and very smart, in tune with all the activities around.
He seems more like a five year old Border Collie, not an older one.
He loves car rides and being wherever his person goes. Riley needs dog savvy cats, he
lived with a cat and won't hurt them but he chases them.
Riley is in foster care in upstate New York and can be seen at the farm. |
RILEY & ELLE
found their forever home together with another Border Collie. The three of
them quickly explored the fields at the Farm like a trio that had known
each other all their lives. They will now all three enjoy their very own
600 acre farm, keeping track of all the activity and helping with all the
chores, clearly a border collie paradise! They both now live in NY. (Riley
is very camera shy!)
ELLE: A 5 month old Border Collie, Elle
is a sweetheart, very sensitive and smart. She is a classic 'thinking'
border collie where she observes everything and carefully decides what she
wants to do. A brilliant young pup, Elle will do best with people who
understand the sensitivity of the breed and with another Border Collie for
play. As Elle matures, her confidence will build and her energy level will
reflect the BC traits of action and focus. She is about 25 pounds. She was
relinquished to the Farm by someone who had hoped to keep her, after
taking her from someone else, but clearly realized she wasn't right for
their family. She came to us from NY, originally from a farm family
with working border collies.

around. Toni is good with cats, and about 35 pounds. She was relinquished to
the Farm due to a divorce. She came from NYC. |

NOEL found her forever
home not far from her foster family, with friends who fell in love with
her the day they met her. She won their hearts and now goes hiking with
them on trails and cuddles in bed at night, loving every minute of her new
life. She even goes to work with her new fur Dad and meets lots of people
who adore her, too. Noel now lives in PA.
NOEL:
A 1 year old Border Collie, Noel is a bit shy but outgoing when you
approach her gently and with fun tones of play in your voice. She is
a real lover, gently kissing your face and wanting to be close. Quite a
charmer, she wins over everyone she meets because she is so gorgeous but
also so sweet. Noel gets excited by toys and loves being with canine
friends. She runs and plays, chasing other dogs and enjoying the fun
of young border collie play. Noel is good with cats and will be placed in
a hard fence situation only. She will be placed in an adult home that is
fairly quiet, ideally with another Border Collie. She is
presently being fostered in NJ. Noel and two other BC's
came to us from a puppy mill situation in PA where they were fortunately
rescued. |

HUNTER found his
forever home with another fun-loving dog just like him...hard to see them
both with the sunny day...but they quickly raced around the fields like
fast friends and were absolutely adorable to see in action. A fantastic
pair, their new guardian was thrilled and loved Hunter's wonderful good
nature as well as his gorgeous good looks. Hunter happily headed out the
gate to his new life in NY where he'll have tons of fun playing and lots
of love.
HUNTER: A
6 year old Border Collie
Retriever mix, Hunter is a very gentle loving dog who enjoys every person
he meets. He is super friendly and wants to be friends with everyone. His
sweet nature is the first thing you notice about him and also his ability
to get along in pretty much any situation. He is a real love. Hunter is
not intense since he's a mix and does enjoy other dog play though could be
happiest without the intense herders so any breed could be a good friend
for him or he could live as a solo dog. Hunter is about 50 pounds and not
good with cats. He came from upstate NY having been tied outside
because a child in the house had allergies. He was outside during
the recent cold weather, well below 0 degrees. We are very happy to have
been able to help Hunter.

KIPP found his forever
home with a wonderful family who drove all the way from Maryland to come
meet him and take him home! He waited patiently at the Farm for just the
right home where he'll get tons of love, endless play with his jolly ball
and the very best: Kipp will get to herd sheep at their farm, doing
exactly what he was trained to do and loves to do!! We are so thrilled for
Kipp and his new guardians who will enjoy this very special Border Collie
for the rest of his life. Kipp now joins another Border Collie, Emma and a
canine friend, Ginger. And, Kipp will team up with Emma to share the
duties of herding and even teach her what this seasoned pro knows all too
well...how to herd!
KIPP: A 7 year old
Border Collie with ABCA papers, Kipp is a classic Border Collie who
connects to his person and looks for direction. He is very very
responsive, eager for direction and happy to be a constant companion. Kipp
also loves balls, especially jolly balls and soccer balls which he will
toss into the air non-stop and catch and re-toss. He is very focused and
clearly loves the 'work' of toy play. Kipp has been trained in herding
with whistle commands and herds sheep flawlessly, clearly a confident,
skilled dog. He is a wonderful dog, so easy to be with and relaxed when he
comes inside. He is very loving and responds instantly to an encouraging
word or touch. He is about 45 pounds, and is a serious cat herder, not
going to hurt them but needs bc savvy cats who won't mind being herded
step by step, following their every move. Kipp does not tolerate male
dogs well and is best with female Border Collies but most likely would do
best as the only dog. Kipp is one of three dogs, abandoned by a
breeder to a NY all breed rescue who then fortunately wanted to work with
the Farm. |

FLASHE won over the
hearts of his new family as quick as it took to hop into their laps for
kisses. The ever agile, fast, Flashe cuddled his way into a wonderful new
home where he'll have tons of love and also tons of action trying agility.
He'll also get to enjoy their boat and possibly learn to swim!! Flashe now
lives in CT.
FLASHE,
A petite 1 yr old Border Collie mix, Flashe is all energy, able to fly up
right off the floor into your arms. He is super fast, very agile and full
of energy. His size and focus would make him an excellent sport
candidate for agility. Flashe is totally people focused and eager to
bond and can learn quickly. He is a wonderful, fun, classic Border Collie
mix except he is shorter than the average BC. Very focused and ready to
go, Flashe needs a job and will be placed with another Border Collie or in
a very active home. He is great with other dogs and good with
cats. Flashe was relinquished to the Farm after his guardian died.
He came from PA.

Meet Max.... an 8 mo border collie mix currently at the Newark
Shelter in NJ. Max has passed his temperament test with flying
colors and really wants out of the shelter. He's neutered, housebroken, up
to date on his shots and finds himself in the shelter because his family
had to move without him.
Max gets along with other dogs, is very curious about his environment,
and loves to provide hugs and kisses. At this young age, he still
has lots of energy for an active family, and because of the mix will make
a wonderful companion - he would probably enjoy another canine friend if
possible. Please consider making Max a permanent member of your
family -
