MAY
17th:
A special day to help inner city children come to
Camp Border Collie For Kids! Please offer your support!
|
| Every May, we hold a fantastic
fundraiser in New Jersey to raise funds to bring 30 kids to camp. They
come from Newark, the Bronx, Brooklyn and Harlem, living in very violent,
distressed situations. The kids experience the healing of loving Border
Collies, bonding with a rescue dog that they train and care for while at
the Farm, all part of The Canine Assisted Learning Program. CLICK
HERE to learn more and see the CBS documentary
We must raise $35,000 to sponsor
the children. If you'd like to donate to help bring an inner city child to
camp, please scroll to the bottom of this page
Or, help
with our Silent Auction
- a favorite of the
event! We are looking for unique items to be donated to auction
off! In past years, people have donated jewelry, artwork,
furniture, hand-made items, tickets to events, vacations, food
baskets, etc. If you know of any store owner or contact who might be
willing to donate an item, pls contact Debbie Lind: deblind@verizon.net
and she can provide flyers on the event.
Or, if you
happen to have high quality items never used, we would be happy to
consider those, too. You just might have something in your home that
you're not using that could be perfect for someone else! Old
jewelry, that gift you've never used, a ticket to a sporting event you
can't use.... we provide a tax letter for your donation.
Your help would be
invaluable in meeting our goal of $90,000!
The
kids say thank you, in advance! |

HELP
SEND A CHILD TO CAMP IN 2008
We have many children who want to come to Camp in
2008, so we need your kindness and caring to make that
possible!! Your tax-deductible donation makes a big difference to an
inner city child who would otherwise have no way to learn about the love
of dogs, the safety of nature, the kindness of strangers and the caring
created in the powerful experience of this camp. CAMP BORDER COLLIE FOR
KIDS makes a difference! We hear it over and over again.. the children
are impacted throughout the year, sharing their stories of the summer
with the dogs. The schools tell us that the children have a renewed
sense of learning. They consider the summer camp at Glen Highland Farm
to be critical in keeping these at-risk children focused productively.
We know we are making a difference and most importantly, we need your
help to continue.
For a little over $5.00 a day,
you can reach into the life of a child and transform their hearts and
mind. The $1200 to sponsor a child for the whole summer session is an
investment in a future adult who impacts all our lives. Please consider
a full session sponsorship or become an ANGEL, helping with any amount
you can. For $700, you can sponsor a child for a week. Or consider
giving the gift of Camp in the name of someone else you care about who
also cares about children.
