Emie stole the hearts of her new guardians before they even met her in
person so while they met a number of other dogs, as soon as she came out and chased the ball, they knew she was the onefor them. Emie will have loads of fun hiking, biking, swimming and out
in all kinds of winter sports too in her new life in upstate NY. She has people who are just as active as she is!
EMIE
is an 10 month old Border Collie who is really good natured with everyone
she meets, absolutely loves people, a real cuddler. She is eager to bond
and very responsive and attentive to any person with her. She is also very
active, fast and agile and needs enough activity to keep her mentally
challenged. Emie has lots of energy and loves to play with other Border
Collies, getting along best with male dogs. She is very, very smart and
like any young Border Collie, eager to learn new things. She is about 35
pounds and Emie is not good with cats. She was surrendered to a
shelter in PA.

Spree found her
forever home with a pack of dogs as sweet as her and guardians who loved
her brilliant sweet nature instantly and are thrilled to have her join
their lives for agility fun! Spree will have her own equipment in her
backyard for lots of practice training sessions and get to travel around
at competitions, too. Plus, she has 17 acres for loads of exploring and
her very own pond! Spree now lives in Vt.
SPREE: A 6 month old
Border Collie, Spree is everything a Border Collie is: non-stop motion,
continual focused energy and brilliant sweetness. She is classic. Spree
will need a serious sport home or very active home and will only be
adopted into a home that meets this criteria. She is fast, fun and smart
as a whip. Spree is also showing herding tendencies, ball focus andwonderful agile qualities, absolutely in love with the top of the couch as
her perch. Spree is great with other dogs, reads them just fine and
learning how to play with them day by day at the Farm. She is about 25
pounds, a bit more petite than some 6 month old pups and good with cats. Spree lived with an elderly couple who abandoned her at a NY
shelter who fortunately contacted us before they even arrived, asking for
help since they knew placing her would require just the right focus.
Spree is a wonderful Border Collie and will easily be incredible with
people who understand her needs. |

DACOTA found someone
who can seriously match his energy level, racing, chasing, running and
playing continual ball games! He was thrilled to have a new friend and his
new loving guardians were smitten by his sweet, good nature as well as all
his drive to play, play, play. Dacota now lives in CT where he'll get to
try herding and agility, all for fun.
DACOTA: A 3 year old
Border Collie with ABCA papers, Dacota is a wonderful ball boy, thrilled
to play with toys of any kind but happy to retrieve, retrieve, retrieve.
He is extremely friendly with everyone he meets and eager to be involved
in any activity, with other dogs or with people. He is very good natured,
easy going and fun. Dacota is a focused Border Collie who wants something
to do and for him, playing with toys is his work. He is also so responsive
and relationship oriented that he could be great in sports of any kind.
Dacota is 38 pounds, typical in size and is good with cats. He
was relinquished due to a lifestyle change that left him alone for long
periods, prior to that he was a beloved friend. He came to the Farm from
Rochester NY. |

JOE PYE found his
forever home with his foster family. They had fallen in love long ago when
they took him in to foster but gave him a chance to be adopted - he went
out twice and showed behaviors in the homes that he had never shown in
theirs - so after reviewing the whole process, they knew there was one
place best for him to stay - with them! He had won their hearts and he fit
their pack perfectly so in a twist of fate, he happily has a new home
forever in Canada, adored!
|
|
JOE PYE: Joe Pye a 4 year old (born 11/03/2002) smooth coat pure bred BC. Joe Pye is a love. Like most border
collies, he is very eager to please and glows when you praise him. He has
a very intense herding drive, and will herd cats around the house. He does
not bite them, just makes sure they are where they are supposed to be.
He
is incredibly smart- he knows hand signals- how to sit, lay down, stay
(that's really hard for him), come, good boy and no. His current guardian
can flicker the lights if he's in another room or outside and he will come
to her. He stays close to you, finds you and stays with you in every room
of the house and outside. He is great at the vet's, is the best dog
in the car (hops right in, curls up and falls asleep), and doesn't mind
water.
Joe
Pye is deaf, was born that way. A breeder relinquished him due to the
deafness so he was adopted to prevent euthanasia. His deafness is not much
of a hindrance for him. Everything he does is one fast movement- coming in
and out from outside, playing with the other dog in the house or checking
on things in the house. He is not a couch potato and it is hard to get him
to stand still to pet him. He is very sweet. He loves to play chase with
other dogs. He rarely barks- almost never- but he will do this deaf
muffled whine that is adorable when he gets really happy/excited like when
you are rubbing/scratching him all over.
He is about 40-45 pounds and would do very
well with other border collies (vs other dogs) and dog-smart cats (as long as the people of
the house don't mind him herding them around).
|

POPPY: A petite 2 year old Border
Collie mix, Poppy is very very agile and fast, loving to race and chase,
wrestle and roll with other dogs. She is very attentive to people and
wants to be involved with everyone she meets. A sweet, friendly girl, she
has lots of energy and will be placed with another dog so she'll be
happiest. Poppy absolutely loves toys of all kinds and will be a quick
learner in any activity. She is a big time water lover, happy to swim and
swim and she dives right in. She is very tiny, about 20 pounds and is good
with cats. She was confiscated from a bad situation where she
had been confined to a bedroom, muzzled to keep her from barking and very
emaciated. The previous owner was not mentally sound. Poppy is no worse
for the challenges and fortunately, the NY shelter contacted us to take
her in. |
TUCK and POPPY
found the perfect home together! They will have a very active life of
non-stop playing as well as hiking, camping and agility, rally O and
flyball...their new guardians wanted an active pair of fun-loving Border
Collies to add to their lives. And, clearly, Tuck won their hearts with
his special sweetness as did Poppy with her focused readiness for play!
They were a perfect pair and headed out to their new lives in upstate NY
where they will have loads of fun!
TUCK: A 4 month old
Border Collie, Tuck is brilliant and fun, ready for action like all young
Border Collies. Tuck loves to play with other young dogs and will need
that stimulation to handle his energy needs- he is all border collie! He's
already stalking to herd the other dogs. Tuck is housetrained and knows
hand signals and is very responsive to everyone he meets. Tuck is deaf and
well on the way to understanding everything around him easily. He hangs
with other dogs and is always close by any person. Tuck bonds quickly and
is real sweetheart, loving cuddles as well as action. He will be a
wonderful companion, able to learn anything and everything since he is so
well connected to people and has the foundation of training needed for
communication. He is about 25 pounds, not yet tested on cats. Tuck
is one of three dogs, abandoned by a breeder to a NY all breed rescue who
fortunately wanted to work with the Farm. The breeder had planned
to euthanize him due to his deafness but called the local rescue instead.
They normally charge $1000 for a puppy. |

BANDY found her
forever home with another furry friend who is about as shy as she is so
they hit it off perfectly, very appropriate with each other in playing and
being together. Her new guardian felt the match was just what would work
for both dogs to be very very happy. Bandy now lives in central NY,
happily playing and herding the cat!
BANDY , a 1 1/2 year old Border Collie,
Bandy is a very gentle, people oriented dog who is very very loving. She
curls right up in your lap easily happy to be with you, for a belly
scratch. Bandy will enjoy that one on one connection endlessly but she
also has the classic focused Border Collie eye so with other dogs around,
she goes into action. She can be a strong lead dog controlling the action
which is typical of female Border Collies. Since Bandy can be shy at
first, she will be placed with another more confident Border Collie (male)
to draw her out and allow her to feel more comfortable quickly. When she
is with the right BC, she plays and plays and plays. She is such a loving
dog, so happy to be cuddled and in your arms. Bandy is good with cats and
is about 35 pounds. She was relinquished to the Farm from another
rescue in PA after her guardians relinquished her because the Golden
Retriever in the house kept attacking her.

Lucky Leo found a new
life with three wonderful young girls who were smitten with his charming
good nature as well as playful puppy like ways. He was the only dog they
all wanted to see and they clearly were charmed when they met him, so off
he went to a new life in upstate NY where he will be adored forever. Leo
is the luckiest dog to have continual love, a long long way from his rough
start in Ecuador on the streets!
LEO
is a 2 year old Border Collie who is a very comical, sweet character full
of spark and play and eager to be with everyone. He is a great
canine citizen of the world (literally) since he came to us from Ecuador. Leo
fit in beautifully at the Farm, running and playing and meeting the dozen
dogs with ease. He gets along with everyone and every dog, a very good
natured guy for sure. Leo is certainly very smart, alert and wants
something to do. Much like a puppy, he will grab things and drag them
outside for playtime creating toys from anything he can find, so will need
some patient training to adjust to a new home. Leo does have an off switch
and lays quietly on his bed , happy to be with you while you are busy. He
is totally housetrained and crate trained. He is very happy to go with you
anywhere and will be a wonderful companion. Leo is great with cats and
about 35 pounds, a bit petite in size. |

ANDY found his forever
home with a guardian who can focus on his needs and truly offer all his
time for a wonderful life together, playing frisbee and ball and hiking.
Andy clearly enjoyed the bond and headed off to his new life in
Massachusetts where he will be adored.
ANDY: A 5 year old Border Collie, Andy
is a really friendly, easy going, happy dog who loves everyone. He is very
good natured, very affectionate and great with dogs and people alike. Andy
loves balls and any toy play plus he likes to swim. He really wants to be
with someone most of the day since he used to go to work with his former
guardian who worked at a barn. Plus Andy also worked with troubled kids as
a therapy dog, being companion to the kids day in and day out. He is very
well behaved and brilliant, aware of what is being asked of him in a
moment...a call of his name brings him right to you, ready to do whatever
is next to do. Andy is good with cats, though may chase since he does have
herding instinct. Andy has been evaluated at Cornell for an eye problem
where his pupils do not dilate properly. He has deterioration of his
retinas which may progress though a re-test will indicate whether the
problem progresses or not, meaning his sight may not get worse. The
retinal deterioration was caused by the toxicity of ivermectin, a common
drug in heart guard preventative which is not to be used with this breed.
Andy can see fine now. Simple drops in his eyes work to contract his
pupils for days when he is going to be outside in the sun. He
recently lived in PA with his guardian who found him where he worked on a
ranch in Montana. A change in lifestyle meant giving up Andy so he came to
the Farm.

LUCIE found her
forever home with dear Friends of the Farm who have other Border Collies
from us. One of her new guardians is a renown animal communicator so we'll
let Lucie speak for herself about her new life!! She now lives in upstate
NY, happy for sure!
Dear Lillie,
I have found my place and am doing just great. Dawn and Margot say
to tell you that you can go ahead and put the little red heart on my
listing on site. If you talk to my other people again, please tell
them that I am settling in a new home and have a new job. Just like
they needed to do different things, so did I. I have a job!
Tell them my new family actually needs me to be here with them.
There is lots of work to do. I have 6 dog friends who need my mature
guidance. There are many cats that also seem to need my guidance but
they don't seem to realize that yet. There are lots of horses to
look at and a whole farm which I haven't explored yet but will soon.
I have a big fenced in field where we all get to go run, play, and play
ball. I get to play LOTS of ball and that is great. Today, I
checked out the big field all the way around. It is really beautiful
here. I want my other people to know that I'm going to be just fine
here. It is so great that this new family was looking for me and my
special talents. Lillie, I look forward to seeing you and the farm
again. I hope the others are doing ok without me. I like
everyone here and am glad to be here.
Lucie
LUCIE: A 10 year old Border Collie with
ABCA papers, Lucie is a charmer, a real sweetheart, eager to be with
someone who will toss her the ball or frisbee. She loves playing and
is always up for a good game of catch. She is a friendly girl and fine
with other dogs though always most excited to play with toys. Lucie could
easily fit in any Border Collie family. She is good with kids, great on
leash and good in the car and also good with cats. A really wonderful,
sweet girl, Lucie has been in one home since a puppy. She is carrying some
extra weight which she'll loose easily at the Farm. She was
relinquished to the farm due to a job change that left her alone way too
long for her to be happy. She came to the Farm from upstate NY.

JIGS found a home
where all his drive is never considered too much cause he'll be doing
serious agility and having a ball using his mind and his body fully. He
was exactly what his new guardian had been hoping to find, patiently
waiting for the 'crazy, brilliant' border collie to find her, too and that
he did..a perfect match! Jigs will be fun to see unfold doing what only
Border Collies do best - be focused, fast and fun! Jigs now lives in Vt
JIGS: A 10 month old Border Collie,
Jigs is all action, the fastest dog at the Farm now. He races full speed
across the fields, leaping over any dog in his way, even turning at the
last minute to change direction. He would be a superb agility or flyball
candidate. Jigs is very toy focused and driven. He is great with other
dogs, especially border collies since he can make up herding games to keep
him mentally and physically stimulated. Jigs will be placed in a
performance sport home only or with seriously active people. Jigs is
also the sweetest people oriented Border Collie, very very gentle, great
with kids. All he wants to do is play, be loved and love back, happy to
cuddle with you. Jigs is about 35 pounds, typical in size and good with
cats. He was in a PA shelter due to be euthanized due to space and a
volunteer pulled him to safety and then kindly drove him to the
Farm.

DAYSE found the
perfect family with kids who will happily keep her busy playing, playing,
playing. Watching them race out the adoption office door, hollering 'Dayse!'
'Dayse' 'Dayse' was adorable and perfect for her. Dayse loved every minute
of the attention and clearly charmed her new guardians as the perfect fit
for them. Dayse now lives playing endless ball in Rhode Island.
DAYSE: A 5 year old Border Collie with
ABCA papers, Dayse is a lovely, friendly happy girl who absolutely loves a
great game of ball retrieval. She will play endlessly and is quite good at
a fast speed return. She is very smart, eager to please and loves to meet
anyone and everyone. She is good with other dogs though would be happy as
a solo dog, too, with an active life. Dayse is also a water nut, very
happy to play and splash, dunking for her ball or enjoying a good dunk in
the tub or swim in the creek. She is good with cats and about 35 pounds, typical in size. Dayse
will need a hard fence since she is a car chaser and will go through an
electronic fence system. She was relinquished to the Farm from
guardians in NY who had her since a puppy but were unable to install a
hard fence. She was a beloved friend and sorely missed.

Sweet wonderful Capp
found his forever home with caring guardians who have a Border Collie just
as sensitive as Capp, so they understand the patience needed to make him
feel safe and happy. Capp spent months here at the Farm healing and was
clearly happy to be heading off to a new life, no longer filled with
torment. We were so thrilled to see this perfect match come together and
know Capp will be truly loved. He now lives in PA where he has a great
yard for lots of play and is their constant companion .
CAPP
is a 3 year old Border Collie who is very smart, alert and responsive.
Capp is also very sweet and loving with people, a real cuddler. He
is friendly with other dogs and engages quickly to play, loving to make
up border collie herding games so will be placed with another
Border Collie. He is a gentle dog who will do
best with only adults or older teenagers. He is
about 40 pounds, typical in size for the breed and good with cats. Capp
was teased by the guardian's child so it was best for him to have a chance
at a life without stress of young children around. Capp is also car
chaser so will placed in a hard fence situation. He
came to the farm from upstate NY. |

BAXTER found the
perfect home with loving guardians who love the breed and understand his
timid nature and will happily help build his confidence and give him all
the love he needs. Unlike before where Baxter lived 8 -16 hours stuck in
an apartment, he will now have three gorgeous acres all his own to explore
everyday day while being the constant companion to his new furmom! And, he
even has another furry friend for company, too. Baxter will be thoroughly
adored, living in upstate NY.
BAXTER is a 2 1/2 yr. old male Border
Collie. He is very sweet, loving and attentive and craves affection and
time with his person. Baxter takes a little time to warm up to new people
since he is shy but once comfortable, he is a happy go lucky dog. He is
most comfortable around women, so needs a patient man and a calm
surrounding. He would do okay in a home with older children. Baxter loves
to run and chase with other dogs for play and does best with female border
collies or could live as a solo dog. Baxter has not shown any interest in ball,
frisbee or herding, he is most focused on his person. He will be a great,
loving, loyal companion. Baxter is 45 pounds and good with cats. He
was relinquished to his foster home in NJ due to his owner being away from
the home up to 12 hours a day, and he had no backyard to run.

ROBBIE found his forever home with friends of the Farm who have spent
lots of time with him, walking the fields at the Farm and enjoying his
good nature whenever they visit. They felt he would be the perfect
addition to their fur family and so did he. Robbie loves the special
attention they give him and he blends in beautifully with the other dogs,
one of which also came from the farm. Robbie now lives happily in NJ.
ROBBIE: A 7 year old Border Collie
(possibly mix), Robbie is an incredibly gentle, loving dog, so happy to be
with you relaxed by your side. He joins you walking around the Farm or
happily at your feet while working. Robbie is wonderful with other dogs
but doesn't like pushy dogs to intimidate him. He needs to be with people
and dogs who are gentle and friendly. He is a delightful, sweet, loving
companion. Robbie is about 40 pounds and good with dog savvy cats. He
previously lived with a golden retriever who died and then he was
abandoned at the shelter in NY. Robbie is partially deaf so
needs a fenced yard since when he is turned away from you, he cannot
always hear his name when called. Once he sees you, he comes running since
he loves everyone! He does have hearing but not fully.

Kasi found her forever
home with another gentle brilliant Border Collie and a loving guardian who
was smitten by her and excited to introduce her to agility and a loving
new life. Kasi will happily enjoy lots of mental games and dog games in
her new home in western NY because she really loves to learn plus tons of
cuddling, another Kasi favorite pastime.
KASI: A 5 month old Border Collie, Kasi
is a lovebug, sweet through and through. She loves people and is happiest
playing with other dogs, racing and running. She is good natured and not
overly intense with herding though she is very active which is why she is
in rescue. Kasi is great with all dogs and will be placed with another
young dog, preferably a border collie. She is smart, attentive and eager
to learn anything and everything and like any young BC, loves toys of any
kind. She is typical in size for her age and good with cats. Kasi was
bought for a 17 year old girl living in an apartment, sold by a breeder
who believes if someone can afford a border collie, they can have one. So,
here she is in rescue. Thankfully one of our adopters heard of her plight
and took her in before she was dumped at a shelter in NJ.

JAKE was an instant
match for his new Border Collie friend, Cadie. Both the same age, they
chased, and raced and wrestled and rolled endlessly in the fields having a
blast. Clearly, the two of them will have a wonderful life together where
they will make up border collie games forever and be adored for their
sweetness and brilliance. Jake now lives in MA.
JAKE: An 9 month old Border Collie with
ABCA papers, Jake is a sweet, loving, happy dog who wants to play and run.
He is not overly intense but has lots of puppy energy so is really happy
wrestling and running with another young Border Collie. He also loves ball
play and has tons of favorite squeaky toys, too. Jake is very attentive to
people, affectionate and enjoys being in the middle of everything. He is
good natured and eager to learn and loves the water and will enjoy a
good dunk in the tub or swim in the creek. Jake is full grown now, about 35 pounds
and good with cats. He was relinquished to the farm from NJ from
guardians who realized they did not understand what would be required
having a Border Collie.

HERK found his forever
home with PATTY. The two of them will enjoy their very own little
girl who loves to throw balls and cuddle, both exactly what these two love
to do, too. Herk and Patty explored the fields at the Farm, enjoyed
attention from their new guardians and headed out for their new life
together in NJ. Herk and Patty will flourish as their constant companions.

Border Collie, Herk is a gentle, sweet, good natured guy who loves people.
He gets along with everyone and likes to be included in everything. He
loves racing and chasing after toys and joins with other dogs in lots of
young dog play, making up border collie herding games. He is also good at
frisbee and eager to learn anything. He settles well when it's quiet time
but is all set to go for fun play. Herk has lived with cats and is about
32 pounds, a little smaller than average size. Herk was left at a
Pittsburgh shelter by a friend of the family who had left him behind due
to personal problems. |

TELLY headed off to a
great life of lots of hiking every day and weekends with his new guardian
who wanted an athletic, fun loving older dog to join her. Telly showed his
agile ways when he raced around the yard keeping pace with the young
border collies and clearly a great match for her 5-8 mile hikes in the
hills. Telly headed for the car and a happy new life where he will be
adored living with his guardian and new furry friend in NJ.
TELLY:
A 7 year old Border Collie, Telly is a friendly, good natured dog who
adores people, truly a best friend dog where people come first. He is a
real cuddler, happy to be next to you and very affectionate. Telly
is one of the sweetest dogs at the Farm. He also loves romping through the
fields and is fine being around other dogs but happiest with his person.
Watching Telly enjoy the fields at the Farm is delightful, he leaps and
races so happy to be outside, clearly quite different from his previous
life. He also enjoys toys immensely, happy for a good game of catch.
Telly was abandoned, found tied with a rope to a building in the
Bronx, then brought to the city shelter in NYC. He is good with cats and is about 35 pounds.

ROC will be living at the Farm for
the remainder of his life where he will share his remarkable spirit to all
that meet him and visit. He is a heart worker sharing the magic of living.
He spoke to us in his own words:
My life has been of purpose and will be until my last breath. At that
point, I will travel to my spirit home. Do not ever be sad for me. Why
should you be sad for my happiness? I am more spiritually awake now than
ever before. Nothing bad has happened to me. Nothing needs to be fixed. I
am on purpose and will continue so, even when you can no longer see me in
your realm, I will still be alive and living. Your heart knows this is
true. Stay true to that heart. Your connection with me is based only on
truth. Death is not a philosophy. You deny yourself life when you worry
all the while about death. Death is not the opposite of life at all. It is
a part of life. It is all life and nothing short of that. When the last
breath leaves my body, I hope you will feel my spiritual breath. Because
the breath into spirit from physical is a glorious one. I came here to
focus on life, not death. Please do not lock me up in a glass jar to watch
me die. Set me free to watch me live. From this you will learn much. You
will learn strength of heart. You will learn freedom of spirit. And you
will learn to look with your heart and not your mind.
You see, I’m alive. I share my love with all who share with me. I
have no remorse for anything in my life. I participate in each and every
moment of every single day. I am a participant, and not an observer. I
have no regrets. I know the conviction of my heart. I dance for joy each
day, in my own way. I am living. I know the ecstasy of each sunrise and
the passion in every sunset. I am aware of the sanctity of all life, not
just my own. I feel my spirit flowing within me. And I am certain that I
am on purpose and where I am supposed to be. You have heard me, felt me,
let me into your heart. You have listened. You have understood. You are
letting me live. Living my life with my path. And I will share it all
freely with you. Of this you can be certain. Its all about trust. Trust in
the force that is life. Trust in the force that is spirit. Trust in your
own heart to love purely. Trust that your heart can be loved purely. Trust
in just being. Learn to trust these things, and you can not fail but to be
alive. Wonderfully, purposefully, gloriously alive. Just like I am. Go
forth and live!

RHODIE found his
forever home with another Border Collie who visited the Farm for summer
camp, Aila and Jake, a fun loving Golden Retriever. Rhodie's gentle nature
and wonderful sweetness won the hearts of his new guardians so he headed
off to his new life in upstate NY where he'll even have his own ducks to
herd and a tortoise who visits there in the summer! Rhodie will have lots
of fun hiking as well as trying agility.
RHODIE: A 2 year old Border Collie,
Rhodie is a very sweet, sensitive dog who responds well to lots of love
and cuddling. He is very smart and would benefit from some confidence
building in training since he can be a little skittish in new situations.
He does well playing with other young Border Collies though he might be ok
as a solo dog since he is so people focused. Rhodie will be placed with
guardians who understand the breed. He is good with cats, and is about 40
pounds. Rhodie lived with another Border Collie previously but was
breaking the electronic fence to chase cars so will be placed in a hard
fence situation. He has no interest in running away, in fact, he is
clearly happiest with his person near him and some action of other dogs
around at the same time. Rhodie came to the Farm from an upstate NY
shelter who felt we could best place him.

CHARLIE found his new
family instantly once they saw his smiling face and watched his race for
the frisbee and balls but they just fell in love with his cuddly nature
and connection with them! Charlie clearly chose them too! And will happily
enjoy lots of play and love in his new home in CT as well as have two
border collie friends from the farm who live nearby and visit often - one
is little pup Cass!
CHARLIE: A wonderful 2 year old Border
Collie, Charlie is fun-loving, friendly and ready to race and run and play
all the time. He is very very sweet and loves people. He also loves other
dogs and would be happiest with a dog friend. He is very good natured, toy
oriented and eager to learn. Charlie loves toys especially playing soccer
and he's also an outstanding frisbee player! He is not showing any herding tendencies. Charlie is about 40 pounds and is good with cats. He came to the
Farm as a stray from an upstate NY shelter. |

APOLLO found a
marvelous home full of love for him and he for them, a wonderful day for
everyone involved. Apollo will now have the companionship he really
deserves and be cared for properly forever. He'll have plenty of fun
running at his new home and enjoy lots of cuddling, too. He now lives in
Virginia.
APOLLO
is a 3 year old Border Collie, possibly mix, who had a rough start coming
into rescue but is on the road to healing well. He came in without much
hair due to a severe flea allergy but is now looking really good and soon
to be his gorgeous self. Though he had clearly been neglected, Apollo
loves people and really wants to be cuddled and connected with lots of
love so he's now moved to a foster home where he can get one-on-one
attention. He is a sweet loving dog who will clearly blossom with time. He
is about 25 pounds and not good with cats. Apollo does not tolerate male
dogs well and is best with submissive young Border Collies but most likely
would do best as the only dog. Apollo
came to the Farm from PA. We are really pleased we could help
Apollo land in a place to heal. |

Beautiful sweet BROOK
found the perfect home for her, living with the vet who had met her while
she was being fostered. An immediate attraction was underway and it wasn't
long before Brook was on her way to her new life, being adored and
cherished. Brook's new guardians patiently understand that her skittish
nature requires some time for adjustments but of course once in
their home, Brook seemed so comfortable, it was clear she had found just
the right place. Brook was in rescue for over a year, waiting for the
perfect people who would allow her special sweetness to unfold at her own
pace. We are thrilled for Brook and know that she'll have a wonderful life
now, living in upstate NY with two furry friends and loving people. A
special thanks to her foster mom who made this all possible.
BROOK:
A very petite 4 year old Border Collie, Brook is a gentle, sweet girl who
loves people and also loves a challenge. She is very very smart and would
benefit from a home where she could learn lots of new things like
obedience or agility. Brook is sometimes shy in new situations so will
need a patient guardian who works with her to build her confidence without
a lot of chaos around. Brook is most comfortable with women so will need a
mostly female home. With some help, she
quickly takes on new challenges. Brook is good with children though again,
a chaotic home would not be right for her. Brook is
about 30 pounds, much tinier than the average border collie and is good
with cats. Brook
was part of a group of 10 dogs given up to the Farm from a breeder who had
been shut down in NJ. The dogs lived outside in pens though we suspect
Brook spent some time inside since she loves being in the house.

The wonderful Miss MOLLY
found her person almost to the day she arrived a year ago...it may seem
like a really long time to be at the Farm but we are absolutely certain
that Molly was waiting for her new person and this timing was exactly when
she wanted it to happen. Molly's new guardian is a border collie person
through and through and instantly knew that Molly was the perfect girl to
step into her life after loosing her other beloved female Border
Collie. Molly will be the hit of the beauty shop where her guardian
works as well as have a chance to try herding sheep and even enjoy
swimming in the pond which Molly truly loves! We trust that Molly knew
exactly what she wanted and when she wanted it and her new person agreed
that she was thrilled Molly was here for her! She now lives in Vt.
MOLLY: A
6 year old Border Collie with
ABCA papers, Molly is a thoughtful girl who thinks through everything she
does, especially when she 'works' the perimeter of the paddock ever eager
to keep an eye on the action as well as search for mice in the fields..
she
loves the outdoors and exploring. Molly also LOVES to swim - she loves the
water and will enjoy paddling around any pond. She loves everyone he
meets as well as gets along with Border Collies best since they are on the
same wavelength. She could live with a submissive male BC but would love
being a solo dog as the center of attention. She is
about 40 pounds and good with cats but needs to be in a home setting with
adults only. She is uncomfortable around the chaos of children. She
is one of 25 dogs surrendered to the Farm from a guardian in PA who had
personal troubles. |

MANDEE found her
forever home through her foster Mom who knew she would be the perfect
companion for her mother in-law and Mandee thought so, too. A nice quiet
home with tons of love and patience, Mandee has a loving guardian now who
understands her shyness and is happy to have a new friend! Mandee will be
with her all the time and adored for the rest of her life. She lives in
upstate NY.
MANDEE: A gentle, sweet natured
6 year
old Border Collie, Mandee is a thinker and quietly comes over for
attention and love. She is very well mannered and calm, wanting to
be near people rather than alone. She is curious about the action all around her but most importantly, wants
to be with a person, next to their side or in the room with them. Mandee's
nice nature is very charming. She also seems to show some worry about
being wrong at times so she will do best with a quiet home that patiently
reassures her that she is wonderful. Mandee is not good with cats. She is about 40 pounds. Mandee
was returned to the Farm after a year in her new home due to a serious
illness in the family. Mandee is
being fostered in NY and can be seen at the Farm. |

Sweet Rosey charmed
her new guardians instantly and even through her picture on the site so
when they met her, she was certainly the one they wanted. But, best of
all, their dog, Toby, wanted to have her as his friend too, so the two of
them quickly wrestled and chased each other all over the field like they
had been together all their lives. Rosey now lives in upstate NY, happily
cuddling and playing!
ROSEY is a very petite 8 month old
Border Collie pup with tons of energy - tons! She loves to play, play,
play and is happiest with another dog for wrestling, chasing and games
they make up together. She is super sweet and friendly and loves everyone
instantly, a very happy go lucky, confident girl. Rosey is also a
character, full of spunk and makes you chuckle watching her antics. She is
not showing any herding tendencies but instead is most interested in toys
and dogs and play. She will go to an active home with another young dog
only. Rosey is small for her age and likely to remain petite, about 30
pounds. She will need obedience and could certainly do agility or any
other sport, once focused on the task. Rosey has a lot of puppy energy is
very curious about cats so will need cats used to dogs. She
was surrendered to a PA shelter due to landlord issues.
